Wiring Harness For Lighting When Flat Towing 2015 Ram 1500 with Motorhome

Question:

I own a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. I am going to tow this vehicle with my class A motorhome. I have already installed the SMI AFO air brake system on coach and pickup. What I need is to wire the pickup for lights. What I would like to get is a no-splice wiring kit that would just plug into the trucks wiring. Can you get something for me?

For lighting you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-154, and not have to worry about cutting and splicing into the vehicle wiring. This Diode Kit allows you to use your vehicle's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your motorhome. A 4-Pole flat loop is included to connect your motorhome to the Ram.

I have included an installation video of this diode kit for you to check out. The Ram is a 2013 but the installation will be similar.

There isn't a plug-and-play flat tow wiring kit available for your 2016 Ram 1500. If you aren't too excited about splicing into the truck's factory wiring (can't blame you), then a good alternative is a magnetic light kit like the Optronics # TL21RK. They would simply be mounted to the truck and plugged into a 4-Way on the RV so that they sync up to its signal lights during travel.
