The waterproof construction of these lights make them ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. Each circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.
To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

Problem solved. Very bright. Works and looks as described.

My new F150 was telling my LED trailer light had a fault. Although they worked. I installed these and truck isn’t giving warning anymore. These lights work great. Very bright. Also lighter then previous LED trailer lights.

It is a good kit, was easy to install and the led’s are great lights, I put these on my neighbors trailer for letting me borrow it to get some cedar posts.

If you are upgrading to LED , make sure to check you current trailer wiring. This is a 5 pin flat connector with a short piece of wire for the ground. 2 -left /2 -right... The LED lights require 3 wires...hence you have to attach the white remaining wire (short piece with an wire lug) to the trailer frame or run an additional wire for ground...

John G - 09/14/2020Bought this kit to replace a failed set of waterproof filament type boat trailer lights. This is my second purchase of LED lights, I love how bright they are. Total cost of this complete LED set was only a few dollars more than the cost of replacing just one failed filament bulb in a sealed pod set. Norm C - 06/09/2018Works well but id prefer the wires to be longer and packaged more secure. One of the 3 tabs on the package were unsecured and the 2 taillights were it contact with one another. Luckily no damage. this could've happened when USPS threw the package over my front gate when delivering

Good kit with all the connections you would expect. Nice light output and no having to clean corrosion every year to get them working. Or have spare bulbs Incase you forget to unplug the lights and let them cool.before backing in the water.
I give the product a good rating So far. I'm not finished yet but it's coming along. The negative to me is the instructions. First is the size of printing (small and unreadable) of the combined picture of the trailer and electrical schematic (2" x 1"). It is very hard to follow and understand. Helpful tips would be a good idea. The added rear light bar I ordered needs some attention as to mounting and wiring. I think once I get through with the wiring and assembly I will be happy. All the lights and mounting technique seems well done.

Great experience on etrailer + shipping, but the length of the wire assembly was incorrect. When I read 25' of wire, I expect I would have at least 25 feet from the lights to the connection on the truck. It is 25' if you connect the male and female together which then leaves you with no connection at the truck. I will either now have to splice in the wire (8 new potential break points), get a new male connector for the truck (leaving another connection point failure, or get new wire harness. I wish a longer wire kit was recommended at purchase vs. butt connectors that were too big.
BTW- The lights look great, but the wiring and the connections leave a lot to be desired.
This kit was fantastic. It was easy to install. I made a few mods, like soldering all the wire connections, then taping them. The lights are so much better than the incandescent ones I had before. Very pleased with this kit and etrailer. Resonable price and fast shipping were the icing on the cake.
Daniel G - 06/09/2017Nice bright lights! Easy to install. These units on my 2002 trailer replaced Wesbar units of almost the same size and the mounting holes were the same size and pitch. The old incandescent Wesbar lights would have been easier to replace with LED units from the same manufacturer as they had quick connection plug-ins in the harness. The new ones did not and I had to cut out the plugs from the harness and solder the wires together. I did not replace the wiring harness with the one that was supplied but will keep it for a spare for the future.
The light assemblies have openings in the back face. It would have been nice if they were completely sealed to keep out mud and water thrown up from the trailer wheels. This will require that you remove the lens from time to time to clean them. This is a problem that caused me to be pulled over by police for dim lights last year. Hopefully the brighter LED's will prevent this.
All in all, a nice product for the price though.

I have owned these lights for at least a year. Still love them. No problems whatsoever over the last year. etrailer is a great vendor to buy accessories from. Great products and customer service !!!
Scott R - 05/17/2018Received my lights quick as promised. Service was great, lights appear to be good quality, only time will tell the whole story. The 25' wiring harness is a little misleading, the length includes the tow vehicle end which is about 5 ' so the actual trailer end is only about 20' long but it is nice heavy wiring. Being a light kit for an over 80" trailer there was no wiring provision for the center rear light bar. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase will buy from hear again.
