Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Swagman replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip for one and a quarter inch Shanks on Swagman Bike Carriers. So this will replace the threaded hitch pin and clip that originally came with your Swagman bike racks, with the one and a quarter inch shank, and the two inch adapters installed. This will work with all the Swagman models that you see listed on the screen there. And because this is a replacement from Swagman, you can trust is going to fit right in place of that original, and you don't have to worry about fit issues, compatibility problems, that sort of thing.
And just like the original, your usable length is gonna be just shy of three inches, sitting right at two and seven eighths of an inch there. So this will do a great job of threading in place to take up some of the slack, to prevent rattling and that sort of thing in your bike rack. And that completes our look for today. Description led me to believe this the "Replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip for 1-1/4" Shanks on Swagman Bike Carriers" would fit my 1-1/4 Swagman Bike Carrier. It did not.
I lost this part in a move and looked everywhere to replace it and only each trailer had it for a fair price with fair shipping. It’s the exact match to what I needed.
It was a difficult item to locate. Thankful that etrailer carried it. It works as expected. No complaints.

Perfect!!! I can think of more practical, efficient and easier way to transport my bikes, and the product is extremely well built!

This has been an easy, secure rack for my bikes which include a very fat snow bike. I had to modify the wheel supports by spreading them open width-wise. The extra 1/2” allowed for the 4.8 x 27.5 wheels to drop in fully. I would recommend that change and it didn’t have any negative effects on carrying my summer trail bikes which still center themselves in the supports without jiggling. I would recommend the carrier to anyone who asks, especially for odd frame configurations, frame packs, or vulnerable carbon fiber material. Occasionally, the ratchets are difficult to adjust when covered in ice but have always managed to make them work with a moderate amount of swearing.

I had lost the hitch pin for my Swagman bike rack. Since I bought the rack from Etrailer and had had an excellent experience, I went back and bought two hitchpins just in case. One was a bit delayed but the customer service was excellent. They notified me it would be delayed and followed up. I highly recommend Etrailer
I first ordered a draw Tite Hitch for my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek so that I could mount my previously owned Swagman bike rack. I then discovered that I needed a replacement threaded hitchpin, which I ordered from etrailer.
Both items were delivered in good shape and on time. I had to call the service department for additional assistance, and the person I spoke to went out of his way to get the information I needed and followed through by making several calls to Swagman on my behalf.
I would highly recommend doing business with this company. They offer great service and products at good prices.
Exactly what I was looking for and a perfect fit.
Fits perfectly. eTrailer had best price, and very fast shipping. My only negative would be that the manufacturer (Swagman) uses a non-standard thread in their product. Would have been way easier just to put a standard bolt in to lock the bike carrier into the hitch receiver.
Excellent threaded pin. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Not the fault of the pin. Just the wrong thread for Transit Flatbed 2dlx bike rack. I've ordered from several different companies, different pins, hoping to find one that fits. Seems like Transit doesn't make a replacement pin.
lost the hitch pin for my swagman bike rack, searched the internet and saw etrailer had them so new I wouldn't be disappointed. I had purchased from them several years ago. placed order easily and chose standard shipping and received the order within a week. order was correct and part was exactly a great replacement.
Works perfectly for my Swagman bike rack. Cost was much less than ordering from Swagman wi the shipping!

It fits and works. It's just unfortunate that one bolt is so expensive.
Does a good job reducing the bounce and slack in the receiver when loaded with bikes. It's also a possible theft deterrent since a potential thief would need the right wrench or socket to get the bike rack off my rig.
Wish this bolt was just a bit longer so that the pin could be inserted after threading the bolt into the hitch, but works great even without it. The threads certainly keep the bike rack steady on the hitch.

The pin you got is made for xtc2 but sometimes debris or rust can make it hard to fit the threaded pin in. WD-40 and a battery terminal brush like part # DW00254 should take care of that so that the pin can fit.
