Question:
I have the Swagman XTC2 bike rack and just got my class 3 hitch installed on my 2016 Mazda CX5 today. My hitch has 2 holes, one is 5/8 inch and I *think* the other is 1/2 inch. I believe the larger hole is for hitch pins and the smaller one is only for locking... But Im not sure. My bike rack has a 2 inch connector on it, but it wont take the 5/8 in pin because of a metal piece that sticks out in the middle of the hole. Am I supposed to use the smaller hole on my hitch? Will that make the platform less stable? Whatever I do, its super wobbly.

Expert Reply:
The Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S64670 will use the Replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip part # P5902. This will get installed using the standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole on the trailer hitch. The other hole is used for a stabilization device which will not work on bike racks with a threaded shank.
