The lock pin works great. I use it on the spare tire carrier (e98ZR)I purchased as hit requires a”D” shape pin. Key lock is easy to install and remove. Black color blends in with the hitch and tire carrier. It arrive on time.
I am stunned that the last few orders from my favorite outdoor/trailer company have gone so wrong. I bought the benton hitch rack, and didn't notice or read enough to find that the box full of hitch locks i have accumulated would not work with the benton due to the d shape hitch pin (i guess for people that only own one wrench to be able to tighten the nut.) It arrived yesterday, today i put the benton on for a log trip we are leaving on tommorrow, only to find that the etrailer d pin does not fit the benton d hole. thus, the 1 star since no zero star. The item is useless, so here i go again with a return and await the correct item so my rack does not get stolen.

I am shocked to reach this review Ffffred! I just did a training on Benton not that long ago and used this very lock on the Benton bike racks. Were you able to try to get it through with the rack off of the hitch? I understand that some products do get through the lines with a manufacturer defects. Can you please respond directly to the email you receive with pictures of it not working so I can forward this over to Benton? I appreciate your time.
its fit my trailer basket perfectly and it will be now more secure when i attached it to my car the d type lock and key see photo and you have send my refund to the wrong item that i bought more power and i will use it well. thank you

Glad we could help, Reynaldo! What are you going to be carrying in the basket?
In my photo, I added a step attachment and I use the anti- rattling attachment to secure it. I hate tailgaters, I’m hoping the attachment will protect the rear ended of my SUV and I also have a tilting bike rack, is another reason I order the hitch!
Performed it’s job well. Used it on a Benton shifts and grins. 2000 mile trip with a 2.5 to 2” adapter and it stayed tight and locked.
"anti-rattle locking hitch pin" does nothing to stop the wobble, and the lock feels very flimsy. I bet I could turn the tumbler with a screwdriver.
Safety for the trailer coming loose was a top priority, this did not come loose when towing.
Exactly as described. Easy to use and definitely reduces or eliminates rattle. Great quality product.
It works as it should.
I think this might be the only locking hitch pin that fits the e98874 cargo carrier. Thanks to Syrus for finding it; it is a D-shaped pin. Etrailer customer service is exemplary. The locking pin appears to fit perfectly. I used a little WD40 to help the keys go in and out easily. Very pleased.
Worked great for my application
Lets me park my car in a garage without worrying about my rack
Too early to review until I use the rac k.
Just what we needed to secure our carri er
Very nice heavy duty best I have found
always lock your stuff - so easy to steal without the lock

After one year, I give this locking hitch pin a 5-star rating. It works great and is easy to use. With the lock in place, I dont worry about the rack when out riding whether I park in a town or out in the boonies.

The hit hitch pin has been working just fine. Still holding tight and secure.
