Swagman Bike Rack Anti-Rattle Bolt for Toyota Hitch

Updated 07/15/2020 | Published 07/13/2020

Question:

Hi... I have an older Swagman XP 3 bike rack. Its the tilt down type. I has always worked well with every receiver Ive ed in. Ive used it on Ford F150, 250, Dodge Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler, and Toyota Tundra. I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, and for some reason, the half threaded bolt to tighten the rack down from shaking, will not go all the way through the receiver, so I can the clevis pin in the hole at the end. It literally is approximately an 1/8 inch too short. Is there a longer bolt for that? Or, do you have a solution? The rack is in like new condition. Thanx for your help...

Yes this is a common problem with some factory Toyota hitches. I have a solution though. The Locking Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pin # S64029 has a usable space of 4-3/8" giving you plenty of clearance. The added lock is a nice way to keep your Swagman XP secured to your hitch too.

To compare the size difference. The pin you are using is the Replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip # P5902(color might be different) has only 2-7/8" of usable space. Both anti-rattle bolts require a 3/4 or 19mm socket or wrench to tighten.
