Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Lippert Components Kwikee Step motor replacement kit. This is a direct replacement for the motor that came with your 9510 control step, and it's designed for steps without IMGL. That stands for integrated motor or gear box linkage. The Kwikee Step motor replacement kit by Lippert Components is designed to help the step automatically extend when you open your RV door and retract when you close your RV door. This replacement kit has everything you need to replace your Kwikee Step motor. The motor will automatically shut down if the step strikes an obstacle, and it features the weatherproof wiring and connectors to prevent shorts and corrosion in the system.With this kit, you basically get the actual motor.
You get the hardware. You get this portion here, which is your gearing, matches up with the gearing on the steps to extend and retract. You get the wiring. Right here is your connector port, and then you also get this plate which matches up over here, holds in place once you install the hardware. Thanks to Lauren and Nicole for their kindness helping me select a replacement motor for my Kwikee electric steps. I have not had the opportunity to install it and confirm that it works but am hopeful that it will! I also trust that the refund for the motor I had to return will be posted soon. The mistaken order was made because I was a not aware that the vintage of the motor home was so important . One suggestion would be to include vintage and model information in the order form for products that are sensitive to those features. It was refreshing to speak with real people and get extension numbers in case follow up questions arise. I will be using etrailer again for a Parts and information

It is working fine. The installation was a bit tricky but I took my time and am pleased with the results. Thanks again for the personal touches your representatives offered me.
After extensive online research, etrailer's site offered the most information on the electric step motor that I was looking for. The original motor was discontinued but they cross referenced a replacement. Their price was better than their competitors and service was "over the top". I received the motor earlier than promised and I was able to install it prior to leaving on a scheduled trip.
The folks at etrailer followed up immediatly with any questions I had.
I would highly recommend etrailer!!

No very well. A couple of months after it was installed I noticed that the motor continues to run after the step is fully retracted making a continuous clicking noise. Speaking with someone at technical services was no help. Im sure its just a mater of time before it breaks again
The service was excellent. Ashley sent the correct part the motor for kiwkee steps the only problem the new parts changed the mounting bolts to a smaller size the old ones were a1/4"size I had to drill the motor plate to the correct size and also the bottom plate. Less than 30 minute for complete job worked well . These older steps have larger bolts than the motors you don't need the bushing in the motor .part I drilled out with a 1/4" left hand bit.

I do apologize for doubting your solution to my problem, but you were dead on with the fix. Motor is working perfect
Installation worked great took approximately 20 minutes instructions were very good
I would like to thank the etrailer staff for working with me to find the correct drive motor for my steps.

Steps are still working great. The original problem was that the stairs would not lock out in the open position or return to close position. with E trailers staff help determine that the gear set in the motor drive was bad and with their help we were able to find the correct motor. I would also say that whenever I’ve had a problem with parts they were able to help me determine the proper parts for the job which I appreciate greatly what’s again keep up the great work.??
This has been an exhaustive process. I first ordered the step gear but this would not fit my motor. I then ordered a new motor and it too would not fit the gear assembly. I returned the motor and with help from the service department ordered a new motor. The attachment screws with the replacement motor will not fit the gear assembly. Replacement of the motor and gear assembly [for a series 32 model step] really should not be this difficult.

Perfect - absolutely zero problems
Unit worked on the step and works fine. Great for a motor that is supposed to be obsolete and out of production. I guess it's the gearbox that is obsolete.

This motor was the perfect replacement for the tired old step motor on my 21-year-old motor home. It fit perfectly including the new wiring pigtail. It came with detailed replacement instructions which were valuable in figuring out how the linkage assembly went back together. The steps operate so quietly now! I'm glad that Kwikee continues to make replacement components for its older steps.
We bought a replacement Kwikee step motor for our Winnebago Aspect from etrailer 1 year ago. They had the best price. The parts were correct, everything fit, was easy to install and has worked great ever since.
I purchased the motor to replace the original unit on a 2002 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser with Kwikee 23 Steps, motor #1 51332. The original gear box is in great shape and everything operates smoothly when manually pushing in and pulling out the steps with original motor removed. The new unit bolted up and plugged in fine, but simply did not have enough power to operate the three step system. The motor was very quiet, but was not able to fully extend or retract the steps. I did notice the electric motor part of the unit was much smaller and lighter (and I assume less powerful) than the original. I expect the motor would work great on a one or two step system, but was too anemic for the original Kwikee 23 gearbox and step on our RV.
The motor worked great, and the installation was fairly easy. I did have to splice the new pigtail into our existing wiring because the plug was different on our '97 unit. The instructions were fairly thorough and easy to understand. The person who took our order was helpful in picking out the correct replacement. It arrived when expected - which was very good (tight time frame to fix the unit). There was a glitch after installing and testing the unit. It worked fine, then mysteriously stopped. After checking the wiring, I gave up for the evening. Next morning, it started working again. Go figger! Your staff was helpful and knowledgeable, and we wouldn't hesitate to use you again. And recommend you to our friends. Thank you!
The kit was exactly the thing I needed to return my steps to working order/ It was a very simple quick replacement of the motor and its included adapter gear, attach these to the gearbox, the connect the wires with the included harness install gearbox and good to go. This motor and gearbox replaced the one on my 2000 Monaco Diplomat. I hated the expense of replacing the motor and gearbox as a unit as I thought is was just a motor problem. But after disassembling the old gearbox I found cracked plastic parts which accounted for its intermittent operation. This bolt in replacement made it an easy do it yourself repair. It has been in operation on my coach for about a year without a problem.
Had to get larger diameter bolts to fit gearbox, had to drill motor mounting holes to the larger size to attach the motor to gearbox. It was a pain but I got it done. It works great.
I have 2002 Coachhouse RV with the old style motor. The steps were Kwikee series 26.I called LIppert customer service and they said the LC379608 motor was the only motor available that would work on these steps. I ordered this kit on Monday and received it on Thursday. It took about 15 mins. to install the new motor. I did not unhook the linkage to the steps to install motor. etrailer had the best price for the kit.
After installing this replacement motor for our RV steps we've not had a bit of hesitation or failure to open . The steps open & close smoothly. Great product, easily installed, very pleased with our purchase.
My order for a new controller and motor for my RV steps was received just 3 days after the order was placed. I expected it to take at least a week. Today I removed the old step controller and motor and installed the new parts. Everything went very well with no problems The steps now works as good as it did when my RV was new.

Needed a new electric step motor for an older model rv, etrailer already had the old model number cross referenced with model number for an identical fit motor for the step. Product was delivered earlier than anticipated, and worked perfectly after install. Thanks etrailer .
