Motr/gearbox for Kwikee RV steps Can a 5973820 motor/gearbox be replaced by LC379147? If so, will it use the same motor control unit? Thanks,

I spoke with my contact at Lippert regarding your existing motor/gearbox model 5973820. He stated that the correct replacement motor is the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Replacement Kit # LC379608. This is a direct replacement for the motor that originally came with your assembly and will work perfectly with the existing control unit. This kit includes everything needed to replace the motor.

The Kwikee Motor that you referenced in your question is designed for the newer Kwikee Step Units and will not work with your model steps.
