I need replacement electric step motor and gear box assembly for a 2002 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser motor home model 5230. serial # 291258 series 32

The correct replacment motor for a Kwikee 32 Series step is going to be the part # LC379608.

If you need the motor and gear box like what you have in your picture you'd ned the part # LC379145.

Kwikee steps series 28 when they extended or contract the motor keeps running for 4 or 5 seconds. Checked gears and all are good. The coach is a 2002 Monaco Diplomat.

You can try lubricating the gears to see if this helps, but most likely the motor is going bad. It's not arching out to send signal to the steps to stop when they're retracted or extended. The right motor for the Series 28 model should be part # LC379608.

In my first question about my step motor keeps running for 4 or five seconds after opening or closing. But after they are extended when you step on them they arent locked and after you step on them they dont lock in place. I stepped on them after they were down and they shot up under the coach. Almost broke my leg.

Well that's not good! It definitely sounds like there's a motor issue - for some reason it's not working enough to fully extend those steps, which is maybe why it continues to run a bit after they appear to be out (or in).
