Although I managed to find an online owner's manual for your 1997 Winnebago Adventurer, it did not specify the specific steps that you have. The Winnebago manual said there will be another manual specifically for your steps which has detailed information about them; you will need to use this manual to find out the manufacturer and model.

This will allow you to get the correct replacement motor; for example the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor for 25 Series # LC369506 is, as the name suggests, for the 25 Series of Kwikee steps. The same thing will go for the gears. If you get back to me with your model number and as much other info as possible I may be able to help you find what you need.

Since you have a 1997 Winnebago, assuming these are the original steps, the correct motor replacement for your Kwikee 32 Series steps is the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Replacement Kit For Pre-IMGL # LC379608. I do strongly recommend going with the Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit # LC379145 for your steps in order to get the current style motor and control board; this will make it much easier to identify and get new parts should you ever need them.
