I wasn’t wild about pulling off the bumper cover from my 1 week old 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but after receiving quote from local shop of $600 to install I watched etrailer’s DIY videos and decided to tackle the job myself. Video was a great help, installed the receiver hitch & wiring harness in about 3-1/2 hours. Great company with great customer service.
Your product is excellent and the installation video was very helpful except that he failed to mention that you need a 7/8 socket to install the nuts onto the bolts that hold it in place. I had watched the video at least 3 times and made a list of things that I'd need and I had to go buy the trim removal tools and a 21mm socket, but I didn't have a 7/8 socket and wound up having to borrow one from a neighbor which slowed me down. Other than that the video was spot on and extremely helpful for someone who's not used to doing these kind of things.
Excellent fit and finish and even includes some curvature to the tubing cross bar to better align with the rear bumper cover curvature. Easy straight-forward assembly with the etrailer assembly video that was really helpful, with that resource alone the number one reason I come to etrailer for hitches, this being the second I have installed myself
Installation directions and processes were great!.
The only issue I had is with the Muffler hanger bold. It did not have a welded nut on the trailer hitch arms (inside the Jeep frame). I wish that there was an appropriate "wirepull" for this bold to slide the washers/nuts down not tighten them appropriately. I actually added a larger washer and inserted the bolt from the inside (instead of up into the frame) and then used the nuts on the outside (so just reversed from the original installation).
The Jeep "panel door" to cover the trailer hitch when not used fits perfectly and with no modifications.
For skilled Jeep personnel, it probably takes 1.5 Hrs, but for the general public, removing the body, obviously not wanting to damage the trim cladding makes the time go up by a couple hours. However, that said, looks great, works great and also added the electrical interconnect.

Only other thing I did was used Cerakote paint and painted the hitch to match the truck (Satin Aluminum Cerakote).

Installed easily and looks great on my 2023 Grand Cherokee L. Bumper fascia piece can be put on to hide the hitch receiver when not in use.
Quality construction, fit and finish was excellent. A little tricky to install but it was no fault of the product. Our vehicle a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee required removal of rear bumper cover and reinforcing beam. Very good installation instructions. I would purchase a Draw-Tite again.
Easy to install BUT, had a hard time getting the spare tire back in place. Hitch receiver taking up some space for the spare tire. Tire is tight up against hitch receiver. Would advise they inspect design of receiver.
The quality of the hitch is great, I went with the Draw-Tite over the Curt because I liked the bend vs the straight bar hitch. The installation is time consuming and you should take your time to make sure that all the steps are followed. The installation videos are a major help in knowing what all to expect. I recommend taping the quarter panel and bumper panel as they show in the video, especially if your tackling this yourself. Also I had to lower my full sized spare tire to get the hitch installed, no problem and everything fit when I put it all back together. If you want to pull a trailer, now is the time to install the wiring harness as everything is exposed when you pull off the bumper panel. My taillights on the 2022 were a T-30 torx head.
Great quality hitch! Done it about 2 hours to include wiring. Watch the videos for how to step by step.
Exact fit. Had to pull plastic bumper off a brand new vehicle. Broke a couple clips. Order extra clips ahead of time. Don't do it in cold weather. Plastic is more brittle.
The hitch is awesome
The hitch is a is a little more complicated for installation than previous hitches I've done as is reflected in the 10/10 difficulty rating but the installation video provided by etrailer made it pretty easy to do, just took a little longer. I had no problem getting the bolts in place without using the provided fishing wires. I really like how it's hidden behind the rear fascia when not in use.
Product arrived on time as promised. I watched the installation process on video that was included in my email receipt That helps me tremendously and gave me great confidence to tackle the installation of the hitch and wiring. The removal of the rear bumper was a first for me, but the video most definitely helped. Thanks e-trailer! You saved me high labor costs.

On a Jeep Grand Cherokee WL, the hitch was super easy to install. If you have any mechanical aptitude, the proper tools, and watch the video, shouldn’t take you an hour and a half. The wire harness took about an hour and a half simply because I didn’t have a lift and was laying on the floor running the battery wire.
Bullet proof. Fits perfectly on my cherokee, covers up easily.
The item was delivered but the paint was damaged on the top of the hitch. Just hoping it won't rust out prematurely. Other than that the item is doing the job it was meant to do.

Great, items and installation videos
Saved a lot of money doing it myself, dealer wanted close to 1800$, — followed the video and it was really a piece of cake. Use two people when removing bumper to avoid scratches.
Be sure to watch the videos and tape around where the bumper comes off as to prevent scratches. Be sure to read the directions too. Good kit, can't tow much I don't think with any aftermarket hitch on Grand Cherokee, but will enjoy extra storage from cantilevered rack on back.
Quick delivery, after watching the video, the hitch was easy to install.
