Fitment of Bumper Cover with Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Published 09/21/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2023 grand Cherokee two row Limited with the trailer tow package Ihave the draw tight DT 42GR or draw tight hitch number 76545. Bought in 2022. Apparently this has been discontinued and replaced by draw tight 76595. My problem with the 76545 is that it sticks out about an inch too far and I can’t put the bumper cover / panel door on to cover the hitch is there anyway to get this to work on my vehicle and put the bumper cover on? Thanks

From what I'm seeing it looks like the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT42GR (76595), which replaced the 76545, not only got a higher class rating, but it also looks like the crosstube is closer to the bolt holes as well which might be a result of the issue you're seeing with the older model on your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The only thing I can think of when it comes to getting that cover back into place is looking at the inner part of the cover to see if there is anything you can trim off to make it fit a little closer to the hitch receiver.
