Question:
I would like to add a brake controller to my 2024 Grand Cherokee L. What all do I need to make this work? I don't have anything for towing right now.

Installing a brake controller in your 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L will require 4-way and 7-way wiring along with the actual brake controller. If you don't already have a hitch you will need to add one as well. I recommend the following:
-Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT42GR
-T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK39VR
-7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L
-Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness # RED52VR
The Draw-Tite hitch bolts on behind the rear bumper panel where the OEM hitch would sit. This has a 7,500 lb gross trailer weight and a limited lifetime warranty. The Tekonsha T-One wiring harness plugs in behind the tail lights and will provide you with a 4-way. Once installed, you will be able to upgrade to a 7-way with the # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else you need to add the 7-way.
The main unit of the Liberty installs behind the dash in your Jeep so the only thing visible is the control knob. This gives it an OEM look that won't take up extra space. The knob controls the brake power and also acts as the manual override. It also uses colored LED lights for simple diagnostics.
I have attached some installation videos below for your reference.
