Well worth the cost! And the installation is unbelievably simple!! Mine took about 30 minutes, mostly because I was working alone and had to get up a few times to grab a tool or additional parts out of the box! This is the second hitch I purchased. Went on a Jeep Gladiator. The first one went on a Dodge Dakota. Very pleased with both.
Awesome product! Quick delivery and great fit for my 2022 Gladiator! Highly recommend removing bumper and installing without cutting the bumper plastic cover. There are aa couple great videos on doing this is you search.
Product bolts right up to the factory mounts on Jeep Gladiator that didn't come with MaxTow options such as the Sport Edition. Manufacturer originally intends for this to be a ball mount through the bumper. Haven't tried to tow anything, but I bought it for a "t-Bone" hitch extender for Kayak hauling. Should work fine.
Side note: this hitch adapter can be installed without cutting a hole in the bumper, but have to remove the bumper to drive in the 1/2" Allen bolt. Another tip would be to leave only 1 thread left on the wire guides so you can seat the carriage bolts into the flat "tube" washer. Once these nuts are ran up almost to the frame by hand, you can pull the wires off and use an impact to drive them up to place and torque.
Have used etrailer several times and never disappointed.
Hitch was so easy to install Fishing wires make it a breeze. Took about 20 minutes start to finish.
The hitch went on with no complaints. It fit well and will work fine. Now need a rubber plug or something to cover the hole in the bumper.
The quality of the product is top-notch. Its coated for rust protection and fit perfectly on my Gladiator.
The only thing I would add is the "how-to" video (see below) as it's pretty easy to pull the bumper off completely and attach first without drilling the plastic on the bumper. Also, seeing how to use the wire to pull the bolts into position was priceless as the instructions are kinda lacking in that department!
The Curt hitch was as described and bolted right up as stated. I removed the rear bumper, rather than drill a 2" hole in the plastic. It took a little longer but was worth it.
It also arrived sooner than estimated.
Sturdy, well-build piece of equipment. E-trailer processed the order and arrived exactly as promised.
I dropped the bumper so I didn't have to cut the plastic and still took less than 30 minutes to install. Great fit as it bolted right up
My Jeep gladiator JT was the sport Edition without the max tow package. This means that the most I can tow would be 4500lbs. I had considered purchasing a mopar tow bracket and replacing the entire assembly, but I realized I would never tow anything remotely close to 5K lbs. I will tow smaller 3500lbs items. In this instance the Curt tow hitch adapter made great sense. The installation was easy, and I, like others, opted to remove the rear bumper instead of cutting into it. The entire process took me a little over an hour, and the tools used were a 16mm deep socket, a 1/2in hex socket, a ¾ in socket and a trim removal tool. You could easily find other ways of safely removing the wire clips if you do not have a trim removal tool. I was able to remove one of the wire tabs by hand by gently pulling on it.
Ty - 06/10/2021perfect fit and very easy to install even though I took the “difficult” way and removed my rear bumper to install the hitch since I didn’t want to drill into my bumper. looks way cleaner this way and looks great!
Great product except they have you cut a 2” hole in the bumper cover and don’t supply a filler cap to plug it
exactly what I wanted. Installed easily. I did watch a youtube video which showed a way to install it cleaner. By taking a few extra steps you remove the bumper (2 bolts, 4 nuts; no big deal) You don't drill through the top of the bumper. Cleaner look.
As usual, etrailer.com has what I need when I need it. I bought a Jeep Gladiator that has the trailer wiring and plugs in the rear bumper but no hitch receiver, bad call by Mopar but this kit saved the day.

This hitch is a perfect solution. It bolts on to the non-tow package Gladiator bummer 'truss' that holds up the exterior plastic bumper.

You do have to 'fish' the carriage bolts into the truss, but the included fish line and instructions make it an easy job.

This is a great option if you have a light trailer or hitch bike rack!

when securing the center bolt, it was a little misaligned & I had to use washers to fill the space & keep it from going on an angle. other than that fit well. Would recommend to all to remove the bumper instead of putting a hole into it. Stock bumper is 6 bolts.

The hitch was easy to install and has performed great when I have used it.
Best option for the Jeep Gladiator in my opinion. Super clean install and looks like factory.
Overall its a decent product that allows the use of a receiver type ball mount or receiver type accessories on a Gladiator that came without a tow package.
I was disappointed by the paint on this unit.
The paint in the area around the threaded part on the top was really bad.
I had to spend a bit of time cleaning that area up and down into the threads themselves so I could install the hitch.
Exact fit! Delivered in 2 days , tracking was on the money! Could not ask for anything more!! Excellent product and service
