Which Trailer hitch for 2022 Gladiator? What's the difference between the two?

We offer the Curt # CU74FR and the Draw-Tite # DR64FR hitches for the 2022 Jeep Gladiator.

The Curt # CU74FR mounts to predrilled holes in the rear crossmember/impact structure while the Draw-Tite # DR64FR attaches directly to the vehicle frame.

The Draw-Tite has a higher capacity (7500 lbs towing/1125 lbs tongue weight), while the Curt has a 5000 lb towing/500 lb tongue weight capacity. The capacity is kind of a moot point though, because the Gladiator's towing capacity maxes out at at 4500 lbs.

As you can see in the provided photo, the Curt hitch is much less visible from the rear, while the Draw-Tite hitch is more exposed. The Curt hitch is manufactured in the US, and is much less expensive.

If it were my vehicle, I'd choose the Curt # CU74FR.
