Features to know about

Simple Hookups With Cables That Stay Off the Pavement

Hooking up your tow bar is simpler when excess cable doesn't hang loose or drag during travel. The coiled center section automatically manages slack while the straight ends route through most tow bar safety cable channels, giving your towing setup a more organized connection. Once everything is attached, the cables stay elevated as your motorhome and towed vehicle move through turns, making routine towing quieter and easier to manage.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Your backup connection needs hardware you can rely on trip after trip. These cables use aircraft-grade galvanized wire rope, heavy-duty drop-forged steel hooks with spring-loaded latches, and batch-tested construction, with a 6,000 lb capacity (per pair). The spring-loaded latches make connecting and removing the hooks straightforward, and the complete design gives your towing system a dependable secondary connection for repeated travel.

Protection That Lasts Through Repeated Towing

Frequent hookup and storage can wear on both your equipment and the cables themselves. The vinyl coating helps protect your vehicle finishes and your hands during handling, while the galvanized wire rope resists rust for long service life. Keeping your cables protected and easier to handle helps them remain ready for your next towing trip with less wear from regular use.

Video Transcript for Review of Roadmaster Safety Cables - Coiled Cables - RM57KM

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster double hook coiled safety cable. So folks, when you're flat towing a vehicle behind your RV or motor home, your safety cables provide that secondary connection between the two. So God forbid your tow bar or another part of that connection we inchesre to fail, these are the only thing left to help keep that vehicle attached to the motor home to give you enough time to hopefully pull over safely and not cause a bunch of damage to you and potentially other people. So one of the nice things about this set that I like is that they are coiled. So they can pull tight, straight, and they're going to go right back up to the shapes that they we inchesre in.

So this is great, especially whenever these aren't hanging down, touching the ground. Now when you turn corners and stuff, if it needs to get stronger or longer, it can. And then when you make that turn and straighten back out, they can coil right back up on their own and keep them up off the ground and everything. And then the straight sections here on the end make it easier to route through the safety cable channels if you have those. And then of course you got the links here.

You can take that off if you need to, but these are all spring loaded as far as all of your S hooks. And so that drop forward steel hook is going to make it quick and easy to connect or disconnect while still giving you a secure attachment points. Now these cables are 68 inches long, as I mentioned. They are an aircraft grade galvanized wire rope. So that's going to be very strong, but they also have, as you can see, that vinyl coating over them.

That's going to protect your hands. It's going to reduce the chance of scratching your vehicle. It's going to reduce the chance of any frays or anything hurting your hands. Together, this pair has a 6,000 pound capacity rating and Roadmaster batch test these cables to ensure their strength and their safety. So again, pick a set up today if you're looking for a replacement.

These are 68 inch long, 6,000 pound rated. The Roadmaster double hook, I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
