The trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required. It has a gloss black powder coat finish which is over a protective base coat that offers superior rust resistance.
The Curt trailer hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 5,000 pounds with a maximum tongue weight up to 500 pounds. I would recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find out the proper towing capacity of your vehicle. I recommend this hitch because it was mad in the USA.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118786, provides a 4-way flat connector which will make it to where your trailer's stop, turn and taillights mirror your vehicle's stop, turn and taillights. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the access cover and the taillight assemblies to access this harness.
The Curt Towing Starter Kit # C4554 includes an 8-1/4 inch long, powder coated ball mount with a pre-torqued hitch ball; hitch pin and clip; hitch receiver lock with keys; hitch cover; and a storage case.
