Wiring a trailer normally means diving into your vehicle’s wiring, but not with this harness. The Curt T-Connector plugs right into the existing tail light connectors to create a 4-way flat trailer connection. No wire cutting or splicing—just plug it in behind each tail light and it’s ready to power your trailer’s lighting signals.
The powered converter draws power directly from the battery instead of the vehicle’s lighting circuits. That keeps your factory wiring protected from overloads or shorts that might happen on the trailer side. It also ensures that your trailer lights get a consistent, full-power feed so they stay bright and dependable every time you tow.
This harness works great with standard bulbs or LED trailer lights, so you don’t have to worry about compatibility. The converter handles the difference in load so your signals stay in sync with your vehicle lights whether you’re running incandescent or low-draw LEDs.
Once installed, you get a standard 4-way flat connector that powers running lights, brake lights, and turn signals on your trailer. It’s the essential setup for small and mid-size trailers and can easily be expanded to a 7-way connection later using an adapter kit if you decide to add electric brakes or a charge line.

Super quick delivery and the package was in great condition upon arrival. Very pleased with Etrailer and I will order from them if necessary.
Excellent plug and play..installed it when doing the hitch to make it so much easier
Fit perfectly on my 2022 Durango GT. I didnt have to cut the bumper either. Highly recommend and easy install. Took me about an hour and a half from start to finish.
The control box wiring was not nearly long enough. Had to reach way up into vehicle to try to attach. Finally able to zip-tie it to other wires. Not ideal and made the installation take twice as long as it should have.
Very nice fit. In my opinion, it wasn't too bad too install. I had the most trouble getting the original bolts out of the bumper iron than any other part of the fitment. I chose to do the Curt wiring harness at the same time....THAT took longer than the hitch installation. The back end went smoothly, it is the routing of the positive wire to the battery that is the time consumer. That is if you choose to do it in a neat and thoughtful manner. Overall, both projects took about 5.5 hours for me to do all by myself. Probably shouldn't take as long, but with the trouble with the bolts.... good products, I would recommend them to anyone.
Install was a PITA because I do not have a lift but it works as intended.
Very easy to install. Zip-ties are included but you will need more. Check with your dealer/service manager before installing.
amazing website, easy to use and navigate, part install was great and love the videos as well thank you
Great place. Super fast shipping! definitely recommend and I will definitely do future business with them
Loved the installation of this. So easy, took me 30 minutes from start to finish. Includes everything you need. I used the installation video they send you in your purchase email instead of the paper. Clean install, works great so far. Highly recommend
Very easy installation
Hitch fits good. New hitch does not have the tabs to fasten the lower bumper to the hitch. See pic. I guess you use zip ties. Not impressed
Received my trailer wire harness on a Sunday USPS priority delivery. Product had clear directions and I installed it on my own in 1.5 hours. Thanks ETrailer for the fast shipping. Love your website and coustomer service. Thanks Kevin
Shipping was fast. I have not had a chance to install the hitch yet but plan to this weekend. The videos for each item were very informative and easy to follow. Knowing what tools I may need ahead of time is great and I have not doubt that the install will be smooth. Thank you!
Worked good and can on time. The only thing was the right side wiring could be longer for better mounting of the black controller box.
Installed on 2016 Durango, it went well, nice product, I really liked the positive wire gauge, and quality! I added a small mounting bracket to an existing 13mm stud to mount the controller for a solid mount location. Thank you
Very easy install. Works great
Works as expected.
Install was very easy, I like the fact that I can still utilize the bumper closeout to hide the hitch when not in use. Wiring (bought separate) was very easy to install as well.
I think run a power wire is a little unnecessary. When you can buy one that are not plug and pay that don't require a power wire

There are a couple of good benefits of having the taillight converter being directly connected to the vehicle's battery. For one, it helps keep the tow vehicle's wiring system isolated from the wiring on the trailer. If a short circuit happens in the trailer wiring, the harness/converter will prevent the vehicle's wiring from being damaged. Secondly, the taillight wiring harnesses of most never vehicles aren't capable of handling the power requirements of both the vehicle and the trailer taillights. A direct power draw from the vehicle battery is very necessary. I hope that helps explain it for you....
The kit was exactly what I needed to help add a towing package to my Durango. The videos on etrailer.com were perfection to help when it came time to install it. Unfortunately (and through no fault of etrailer.com) I traded the Durango in on one with a v8 about 3 weeks after I installed the kit. So, I cant say how it's doing now lol
Harness was simple to do very straight forward and receiver is very durable and built right and easy to install thank you
I was concerned by the picture that the long "hot" may not be heavy enough, bit once I received it I see it is better gauge wire than I imagined. I will no doubt run the long wire through a wire loom just to guard against being damaged over the long distance it has to cover from the front of the vehicle to the rear. The vehicle manufacturer (Dodge) should have incorporated provisions for adding trailer lights.

Really easy plug and play, didn’t take long either. If you know how to use a multimeter you won’t have any problems.
This worked great on my 2015 Dodge Durango that I didnt purchase with the facotry tow package. I got the hidden hitch a few years ago for my bike carrier. Now I want to tow a john boat and needed a 4 pin connector. I followed their installation videos and it went in perfectly. Make sure to get the connector mount for a cleaner look. I purchased the the universal 4 pin to 7 port upgrade kit that will help me upgrade in the future if I need auxiliary power or a break controller.
