This steel vent lets you bring in fresh air or push hot air out no matter which way the wind is blowing. The 2-way pop-up lid opens toward the front or back, so you can angle it to scoop air in or keep rain out. It adjusts in steps from fully closed to fully open, giving you control over how much air moves through.
Made from rugged steel, this vent is built to hold up against the elements. The black paint finish is durable and looks clean on any setup. You can even paint it to match if you want. The sturdy handle inside runs the full length of the vent, so it’s easy to find and move even if you’re wearing gloves.
A heavy-duty screen is built right in to stop bugs, leaves, and debris from getting inside while still letting air flow through. The included gasket helps prevent leaks when the vent is closed, keeping water out and making the seal tight against the roof or wall surface.
The vent comes with a black plastic inner garnish that gives the inside a finished look. It can be trimmed down to fit thinner roofs, so you get a custom fit without extra parts. The garnish measures 14-1/8" long x 8-1/2" wide with a 2" leg length and rounded corners for a smooth, clean edge.
The vent drops into an 11-1/8" long x 5-1/2" wide rough opening. It stands 2-1/2" above the roof when closed and 5" when open. You’ll need twelve #8 screws (sold separately) and a silicone sealant to mount it securely and keep things watertight.

Best dang trailer roof vents available. Waaaaay better than aluminum. Building are made out of steel, not aluminum.
horrible product/ wouldn’t open or close! called e trailer… no help. I had to grind end, lubricate, and barely could open with two hands! bought 2, neither worked! no template included. Interior flange not pre- drilled. It’s worse than POOR. ABDOLUTE JUNK!!!
I purchased this to add a vent into the hard top of my 1985 CJ7. It really lets in a rush of air, nice addition to a really hot vehicle. The Install would have gone a little easier if it came with a template for drilling and cutting. I started to use the foam gasket as a template, but it was just too soft to give accurate positioning to drill the screw holes. All in all it was easy enough and adds welcome relief to stuffy non-airconditioned Jeep.
VERY FAST SHIPPER !! GREAT VENT FOR MY TRUCK CAP.
well made, Pleased with the product. Delivered right on time. Gonna order 2 more for another trailer.

works great
great heavy duty product. It opens in both direction which is great. This is made for cargo trailers. But i installed it on my Polaris General 1000 Deluxe on the roof. Great for getting fresh air to the cab and being able to pull air out when its reversed. Seals up great/
This is a very sturdy metal vent. Most of the vents I looked at were flimsy plastic. These were also the only vents we could find that would fit between the corrugation on the roof of our econoline van. They are a little stiff and hard to open, but I think that will get easier with use. Also the holes are bigger than a mosquito can go through so I taped some screen material over the perforated steel. All in all though, great quality vent.
I have a 48 foot gooseneck enclosed trailer .. Have installed vents on the upper side of the trailer one in front one in back great Air circulation from one end of the trailer to the other .while rolling down the road. Very easy to install .very heavily built Vents . they'll last for many many years ! Thank you again for the help a tra thank you again for the help e trailer !!!
This vent will be used on an custom off road trailer. The vent is heavy duty, it will work perfect for this trailer. The garnish for the inside will accommodate a 1" to 2" thick wall/ceiling. Although, the garnish can be cut down for a thinner wall/ceiling if required. This unit also comes with a black foam gasket/seal about 3/16" thick.
Liked having the garnish and toughness of steel - other vents I tried using were for thick walls and had the mechanism towards the inside and would not work but the trailer I am mounting these to now have very thin walls so these vents work but protrude past the side of the trailer quite a bit.
Very fast shipping. Ordered 2 vents. One vent was in new condition, the other had, what appeared to be, a factory blemish on the front of vent cover/deflector. The area was about the size of a quarter, with what appeared to be grinder marks within. The area was spot sprayed (I assume at factory) with black paint that didn't come remotely close to camouflaging blemish area. I didn't have time to send back to etrailer do to time constraints. I was able to sand down cover and re-spray myself.
Installation was straight forward and easy. I'm happy with etrailer and overall quality of product. NOT happy with blemish area I had to fix.
Great product, very sturdy, opens two ways, painted to match my box truck and look great. I have two up front high and two low in the rear to get cross flow of air in my box truck. Being in the fuel business it keeps air quality in the box ten times better .
I ordered this to provide venting in a conversion cargo trailer. It's clunky, but seals well. Not small bug proof. Sort of feels like something from WW2 and I'm still looking for a good adjustable vent system which is weather proof if left open.
The produce is well made and opens and closes easily and it is water tight when closed. I do wish it could open a little wider for more air flow. I first saw these vents on my brother-inlaws horse trailer and immediately recognized the high quality of construction. I installed one in my Ford 250 econoline van. The common van vents are plastic and eventually decompose due to UV light and the aluminum ones are a joke because they rattle when open and traveling at freeway speeds.
very good vent installed in roof on 2016 Honda pioneer 1000, easy install , cut opening with a dremel tool
I just put them in my van and like how they turned out and think they will do what I was thinking
For the price I think hardware should be included. Other than that they seem pretty nice and looking forward to mounting them
FAST processing and QUICK shipping to AK!!!! I recent purchased a Sprinter for business use and have ordered from a dozen vendors this past couple weeks. etrailer was the quickest with processing my order than any other vendor. Redline pop up vent was purchased as a fresh air intake for gas air compressor and an out port for air lines, to be installed on rear door so I can keep doors closed in cold winter months. Very impressed with quality of vent and it’s going to work out perfect!!! The demension of one of the ports will easily fit an air line track after cutting out mesh. Thanks etrailer! Keep up the good work

After a year, vent is working great. Lid still seals when closed and action is still tight. Only one issue....only after a few months, rust bubbles around the mounting bolt holes

Installed it on 2016 rzr 900 4 seater for extra free flow air when front windshield is on. Works great nd is easy to instal and work. It does come with the inside trim piece. So don’t order one thinking it doesn’t come with one like I did.
A great solution to increase the air flow in my UTV. 2024 RZR.
I removed the screen to increase more air flow. I think this increases air flow twice as much.
Easy install!!!!! I placed it on the roof.
Installed easily, looks great, a better vent than the original plastic.
Installed on a SxS utv roof for ventilation on warmer days. It gives a much more comfortable ride. Very glad I took the time to install it.
Mounted in the back doors of our Promaster camper van. Gives us a bit of air movement if we don't have electricity to run the roof AC. I cut a piece of screen and glued inside each one to keep the smaller bugs out. works good.
Got 2 of these pop up vents to add on with my small original vents. Now i have good airflow especially with the MaxxFan i recently installed and my Trailer stays cool. Can leave it open on hot days but have to close them when its raining. Good quality built. Glad i got these!
Thanks ETrailer

Still Awesome!!!
The Redline 2-way pop-up roof vent was well worth the money. Install was fair and recommend to make a template pattern before cutting to insure it is proper. We are very satisfied and had enough positive air flow in the cab at slow speeds to keep most of the dust out. If we had a strong tail-wind or flying down the dusty road at 50 mph, then don't expect this product to work. Like I said, we are really satisfied with the vent. I did add a pull handle so it was easier to open/close for my little wife. On that note, I did ruin one of the plastic bushings on the pivot rod and I need to call to replace. NORMALLY... you would not take the vent apart like I did and recommend that you do not. It's like a giant rat trap when you get your fingers in the wrong place. Anyway, I recommend you order one to help cool your cab. GVS
