Yes, step covers help keep debris outside so you don't track it into the RV. The textured material scrubs shoes and reduces what gets carried in. If you want maximum scraping, the astro turf style cleans better but feels more aggressive on bare feet. Softer styles feel nicer underfoot and still reduce dirt.

On 11" deep steps the grommets may face outward for a straight pull on the springs. Use pliers to help stretch springs tight.

Confirm your tread width and pick a style made for your step type so the cover seats properly. Check thickness clearance if you're concerned, and test fold/unfold after installing.
