Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Prest-O-Fit 3-Piece Step Rug Set for MORryde StepAbove RV Steps

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Prest-O-Fit three piece step rug set. This set is gonna give you these three step rugs that are going to fit your first or second generation Morrydes, step above steps. It's gonna work with all the models that you see on the screen there. So if you have any of those you can trust this is custom fit for you. So whether your steps use a pin to hold the legs in place which is the first generation or the second generation which has the button to allow you to adjust the legs, these are gonna work great for you giving you that coverage over your steps so you can easily brush any dirt, debris, grass, mud that sort of thing, off your shoes after you've been hiking or enjoying the outdoors so that you're not tracking that all into your RV, getting your floors dirty.

So it's gonna help keep things cleaner inside. Now these are a nice heavy duty outdoor turf material. So they are going to have these strong bristle fibers that's gonna help remove that dirt easier than your standard turf. You can see this is an obsidian black color so it's gonna help hide that dirt so it won't look too dirty even if it's been a while since you cleaned them. But to clean them, it's very easy, you just hose 'em off, let them air dry.

These are going to be resistant to mold and mildew as well as UV rays. So it's gonna maintain that nice dark color but also you're not gonna have to worry about it getting moldy or anything like that. Another benefit to this is that the carpeted design does oftentimes help pets to feel more comfortable going in and out. It gives them a little bit more texture to grab onto. Instead of that metal, which can easily slip off of.

These are 19 and a half inches wide, so they are going to give you full coverage of your step and so there's gonna be plenty of room to wipe your feet off and that sort of thing. These are gonna be very easy to get installed. So our top step cover, all of them have this textured rubber backing here that's gonna provide a little bit of grip for us. Our top step has the hook and loop strips, that will get put in place to give it a nice secure connection so we won't have to worry about it coming loose. But then to clean it, all you have to do is pull apart the two hook and loop pieces and then I'll be ready for you to set back down, once it's clean and dry.

For our bottom two steps, they work a little bit differently, so you can see they've got these rings here. If I give you a a back view, you can see how this works. So we've got these springs that we'll just hook in place on the front ring and then you can attach it to that back ring as well. And that's gonna provide that tension that you need. Obviously, you go ahead and do that for the four different holes that we have there to get those held in place. I'm not gonna do that for you but you can see on our bottom step here I've got all four of those springs installed and just how much that's gonna hold that step rug there. So you're not gonna have to worry about it slipping as you're stepping up or coming down. It's gonna be nice and firm. Now these springs are a zinc plated steel so they're not gonna rust don't have to worry about them being outdoors for long periods or anything like that. They do include some instructions just to walk you through that simple installation process. Really the the only difference being for your two different generations they'll determine how you install this top step rug to make sure that it's fit properly depending on if you have that back plate or not. But very simple to get installed. And once it's installed it's gonna be very easy to maintain. Just simply pull 'em off spray 'em down if you need to, like we said. So really great option here to add a little bit of texture help clean your feet help the pets feel a little bit more comfortable and give you a little bit more solid footing as you're walking in and out, especially if it's wet.
