Can Coleman Mach Everest Replace Mach 15 and Use Same Wiring

Updated 07/14/2026 | Published 06/13/2026

Question:

I have a Coleman Mach 15 now. To replace it with the Coleman-Mach Everest VS-18, can it use the existing control wires that is already there? If not, not sure how you can pull wires on an existing build. Any pictures to compare the white and black models?

Hey David, you can replace your Coleman Mach 15 with the Coleman Mach Everest part # CM35MR and use the same wiring that's behind the walls. Everything else would need to be swapped out but the wiring can be reused. We only have the Everest in the white and black like you can see in the part # CM35MR. How did you like the Mach 15?

Thanks for the answer. When will the WiFi version of the thermostat be available? I have the Micro-air thermostat now, can this work with the Everest? Thanks.

@David we don't have a timeline on when a wifi thermostat will be released. I believe the Micro Air will work with this but I can't find any confirmation on it at the moment.

@JamesonC Any update on the release of the wifi enabled thermostat? Will the wifi enabled thermostat be plug and play with the thermostat that comes with the Everest unit?

Are you sure that the exisiting wiring can be used with the Everest unit? I have the same setup as David. I am looking to replace two Mach 15 units with the Everest. I would like to know if the exisiting wiring can be retained. This would reduce the install time significantly since I would not need to run the new wiring.

@Cory it does for sure. I confirmed this other day too when we had an AC manufacturer here. The thermostat wiring is basically all the same between manufacturers. They all use the same connections.

Does the thermostat that comes with this Everest unit also allow for a furnace other be controlled with the thermostat, similar to other Coleman mach thermostat models?
