The Rota-Flex pin boxes will work just fine with the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3710 that you're referencing. To our knowledge the only standard 5th wheel hitches that the Rota-Flex isn't compatible with are the Curt E-Series or Q-Series 5th wheel hitches.

@Roy Did they specify which lockout needs to be used and why? And who did you speak with? The Rota-Flex should only require a lockout on autosliding 5th wheel hitches like the Demco Hijacker.

@JonG I spoke to a young man named Ryan at B and W. He gave me a link at etrailer to the Blue Ox lockout for my Roto flex. I installed it yesterday and it’s still doing the same thing. I sent them videos and I’m talking to them today about what to do next it still has excessive Ford and backwards motion when I apply the brakes and start off, I tested in my Driveway. If you would like to see the video, I can send it to you, but I have a problem sending video through AOL email. I’ve been sending them my videos to a phone number.

Sorry, I forgot to say what it was doing. It was basically doing the same thing it’s doing now. They said that the Roto flex head was rotating and so was the head of the B&W Hitch and they were fighting each other and this is what caused the noise and I’m also getting excessive chucking When I’m towing. I have the B&W companion Hitch and curt Roto flex pin Box installed.

I was getting a lot of forward and backward movement with my Roto flex pin box and my BMW companion Hitch. The pin box was 11 years old so Lippert sent me a brand new Roto flex pin box and b&w sent me a new Hitch head. The Forward and back movement was still there but not quite as bad. The next thing they told me to do was to install a lockout because they said that the rotating head on the pin box and the rotating BMW hitch head were working against each other. I installed the lockout and I still have forward and backward movement. After all that they said that it’s normal in some cases and not to worry about it. What it does, is when I stop. I can hear it bang a little bit on the king pin and then when I takeoff bangs, a little bit on the king pin again. It’s not really that loud. I don’t hear it when the windows are up so I guess I’ll just have to live with it the way it is. I think I’ve done everything you can do, new Hitch parts, new kingpin, lockout, etc. It’s like the king pin is too small for their hitch and it has some slop in it. No matter what. What do you think?

@Roy I'm glad it sounds like Lippert and B&W have really stepped up to help you out. I would agree that if you can't hear anything with your windows up then you should be good to go. I don't know if I've ever come across a towing setup that was 100% quiet so as long as you have a comfortable ride quality you should be good to go. Thanks for all of your feedback on your situation!
