Video Transcript for Spectro Wiring - Tools for Wiring - 459075 Review

Today we're going to be reviewing part number 459075. This is the Plastic Wire Loom. This part number would be a length of 100 feet. Basically, this wire loom is a half inch in diameter. Again, the length is 100 feet. As you can see, it is split on one side.

Basically, what this wire loom would be used for is if you do any wiring on your trailer or vehicle, you could put all your wires inside this loom to keep them all together and also to protect any of the wires from getting nicks or cuts that might cause a short in your wiring system. Now, we also do sell a related product. If you don't need 100 feet of it, you can buy this by the foot. It's part number 459075-1. That part number would be priced per foot so you could just buy as many feet as you'd like. This part number would be the 459075, it would be the full 100 feet length of this wire loom.

That should do it for the review on part number 459075. The Plastic Wire Loom in 100 foot length. .

Rewired my trailer, wanted to add wiring protection. Wire loom is a pain in the butt, but this seems to be good stuff as far as wiring loom goes, and it's doing what it's supposed to do, which is to protect the wiring. 375715

  • Routing Electric Brake Assembly Wires For Best Connection and Function
  • Depending on the size of your trailer, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA or the # AKEBRK-35-SA for 3,500-4,200 lb axles. These assemblies will install with # 10-1-1 wiring run from the electric brake output wire of your trailer connector to one side of your brake magnets and then the other wire of your brake magnet gets wired to ground on the axle or the trailer frame. This wiring does not...

  • Typical 7-Way Wiring Color Codes
  • The wire loom part # 459075 does not actually have any wire in it, but it sounds like you are curious about the standard trailer 7-way wire colors. There are a couple variations, but for the most part the diagrams I attached show the most common trailer wiring colors.

  • What Size Clamp to Use for 3/8" and 1/2" Size Wire Loom
  • You should be able to use the same size clip as the inner diameter of the wire loom. For example, the 3/8" Diameter Wire Loom # 39035 has grooves in it that would allow you to use a 3/8" inner diameter clamp. Same thing goes for the 1/2" Wire Loom # 459075-1 or # 459075.

  • Recommended Wiring And Waterproof Lights For 2000 Ranger 620 VDS Boat Trailer
  • To completely rewire the trailer you will need to start with a 7-way trailer side wiring harness like part # H20044. You will then need a junction box like part # 38656 to attach to the trailer. You will run the # H20044 harness into the junction box and run the wiring for the brakes and lights off of the posts in the junction box. You will need the appropriate size wire for the lights and for brakes if you have them on the trailer. You will want to run 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1...

  • Recommended 7-Wire For Rewiring Lights On Semi Truck
  • The smallest gauge wire for running any lights is 16 gauge, like part # 16-1-1. This wire measures .089 inches so using a 1/2 inch loom like part # 459075 would be able to handle several strands of 16 gauge wire. This could run into quite a cumbersome task but we may have just the thing you are looking for. I recommend using the Deka Jacketed 7-Wire, part # DW04914-1. This jacketed wire has (6) 12 gauge multicolored wires and (1) 10 gauge white wire enclosed in a black vinyl jacket to protect...

  • Protecting Vehicle Paint from Scratches When Using Magnetic Towing Light Kit # C-ATL20A
  • One solution would be to wrap the wires that contact the vehicle in electrical tape. Electrical tape is soft and will not scratch or scuff the vehicle paint. It will also help to protect the wires for the elements. The downside is that a lot of people do not like the look of the electrical tape. Another option could be to use a wire loom like # 459075 (which is 100 feet worth). The benefit is that it looks better than the tape. The downside is that it is plastic and some edges may be...

  • Can Steel Light Mounting Box be Used to Mount Lights High Up On a 2004 Sunseeker Motor Home
  • You would be able to tell pretty quick if the walls can support the lights and housing with just screws. Otherwise some type of anchor would be required like you would use in drywall. The difficulty of running the wires to the desired location is going to depend on how much room there is behind the walls to route the wiring. Otherwise you could route it on the outside of the trailer and use something to protect the wires, like loom # 459075 painted to match the exterior of the trailer...
