So, i think that you may have given me the wrong set up as my 2022 Toyota tacoma has a 3 1/2 inch lift with an extra spring in the rear like i told the guy.
He did tell me that he was new and just learning the ropes.
Im thinking maybe the trailercamper has to sit down just a little lower. So it needs a differentbracket

The Equilizer hitch has made towing much, much better for a short, single axle travel trailer. There is zero sway. The only issue we've had is that the brackets mounted to the trailer frame tend to slide or tilt occasionally, so periodic adjustment is needed. The hitch isn't as noisy as I was expecting. Love the easy setup and tear down, too.

This WDH has been terrific. My only complaint and why I only gave it 4 stars is because on the initial set up you have to have a special thin walled socked for the bolt for the ball. I tried several thin walled sockets including and etrailer one and all were too thick. So I ended up getting the equilizer socket, but that one is VERY expensive. It seems a bit much to first pay top-dollar for the WDH AND then have to buy their special socket.

Towing 3400 lbs hybrid camper with ford flex (tow rating 4500). Makes a world of difference. Car downshifts less, rides more level and experiences very little sway. Wasn't cheap, but was worth the money as an improvement over towing without distribution hitch.

Installed this hitch along with the 2 1/2 inch shank as per the instructions. After checking the truck front end heights with no trailer, then trailer and no bars, then finally with trailer and bars connected, I was able to get the front end close to the original height. Took the trailer on a 50 mile drive on the local interstate and some back roads, there was no porpoising and very little if at all, swaying even when being passed by semis. This is already a better feeling than the one I had when using the Blue Ox Sway Pro. I will check everything again and I want to take it to a local CAT scale to verify the weights and all before our upcoming trip to New York and Maine.

I originally had a eaz-lift 1200 with chains and sway control bar for my F150 and 30ft travel trailer. Used to sway with mild wind and semi cross winds. Typically nothing over 60mph freeway unless I had perfect conditions and minimal traffic. Had that hitch professionally installed as well. Had enough of it and purchased this 12,000 equalizer. I installed it. Was able to get a level ground and do all measurements on my own. The ball came preinstalled. Did not anticipate this so also purchased the shallow socket that I ended up not needing. I did however have to buy a much larger torque wrench as the bolts to the shank require 385lbs (this is off the top of my head, but pretty sure it was this high). Started off with 3 shorter trips this year, nothing over 50 miles and minimal freeway/highway. Recently we took it out further. Over 250miles one way. A LOT of time spent on the freeway. This was a night and day difference. Mild to no sway the entire way to and from. I was even able to go 65-70mph without worry.
The whole set up process did take me 4-5 hours as I constantly questioned my math and measurements as I am not the most mechanical/handy person.
Very satisfied with this item. Well worth the time and money.

Worked great. We traveled over one month and 5K miles on our Airstream Tradewind without a problem. Just wish there was a trade in program for previously owned weight distribution hitches!

this has improved the towing of our 31ft travel trailer, alot less sway when 18 wheelers pass. However, attaching the sway bars are not as easy as they make it sound...you have to adjust the hitch-jack several times to connect and disconnect the arms. Especially difficult if the RV is not lined up straight with the truck.

I had a el-cheapo hitch the dealership hung on me. I had a couple of white knuckle trips while trying to adjust the sway out of it. Well it never happened just a lot of frustration. I purchased this e4 and on the first test drive even my wife who has a zero understanding of mechanics, said "WOW, this is so much better" it is actually amazing, I never would have believed this hitch could have made that much of a difference.I would have bought it long ago but I didn't believe all the claims of how much of an improvement this is, Well I'm a believer now.. Kymberly was a great help on verifying all the applications.
