Question:
Hello, we have a 2023 Subaru Outback XT which has a 350 tongue weight and 3500 tow capacity. It has a Draw-Tite hitch installed. We are towing a 2500 lb. travel trailer. Can you recommend a weight distribution system to add to our set up? Thank you

I would be happy to! Weight distribution systems are selected based off of tongue weight which is typically between 10% - 15% of your trailer's total weight. This would put yours between 250 lbs - 375 lbs. There's really only a couple of systems that work with this low of a tongue weight and you do not want to use an overrated one.
I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37040ET. This system works with tongue weights up to 400 lbs so you won't be over capacity if you're on the lower 250 lbs end.
The Equal-i-zer item # EQ37040ET has built in 4 point sway control that will keep your trailer in line with your Subaru when you're driving down the highway and get passed by a semi or make a sudden move. This system includes a 2" shank and a 2" hitch ball.
I have linked a review video below so you can see the functions of this system demonstrated.

Hi Jerred, thanks your help last year. I have a new situation that I need some expert advice on. We now have a 2023 Jeep Gladiator with towing package, but not the Max package. We plan to upgrade to a larger, heavier travel trailer. The trailer tongue weight is 380 and dry trailer weight is 3700 lbs. The weight distribution hitch we currently have is tw 400 and dry trailer max is 4000. Is this hitch still sufficient or is an upgrade recommended? The new trailer is pretty close to max for our existing hitch…. We will also need a 2-5/16 ball. Thanks again!
