Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Equal-i-zer Replacement Sway Control Bracket. Now, this is going to replace one of the sway control brackets for your Equal-i-zer weight-distribution system that's rated for 6,000 pounds up to 14,000 pounds of gross towing weight. Because this is an exact replacement from Equal-i-zer, you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original. It's gonna be compatible with all the other components, so you don't have to worry about fit issues, or compatibility problems, or anything like that. This will also fit with your Fastway e2 weight distribution system.
So if you're looking to replace a bracket for that weight distribution system, this will work for that as well. This is going to be very straightforward. Just like your original, it's going to attach to your trailer tongue and then provide that mounting point for your spring bar. Obviously, your spring bar is not included in this. You'll just reuse the original one, but this will provide that sway control by having that steel-on-steel friction with the spring bar.
So it's gonna help keep your trailer in line. You're gonna get everything that you see here. So, including the L-pin with the retaining clip to hold your spring bar in place, make sure it doesn't shift off. They do include some instructions here. For assemblies, if it's been a while since you originally installed that original bracket, but overall great option here to get your weight distribution system functional again, so you can reduce some of that sway and make sure everything's nice and level.

Readily installed, just as advertised. Because our previous L brackets had been altered for that camper, they were not transferrable to our new camper. We obtained a new set from etrailer put them on, and happily went on down the road. Thanks, etrailer!

New slotted brackets make for easy installation and will be able to replace bolts if needed.

Product: I have a 5 year old Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch, which has about 14,000 miles of towing a travel trailer. During a recent inspection, I noticed one of the welded bolts that secures the sway control bracket was broken. The other bolts showed wear also. I ordered a pair of the replacement brackets as they replaced all the hardware for about the same price as an original replacement part. I also liked the design of the replacement brackets as all bolts/hardware can be replaced as they wear at far less expense. Clear and concise instructions are provided and list the torque specifications of the bolts.
eTrailer: Although the web site showed the items I ordered were in stock, this was not the case. I needed at least one bracket set ASAP, but was willing to wait a few extra days. I was notified by email that a possible substitute was available and eTrailer would modify my order if I wished. Unfortunately the available substitute was not compatible with my hitch. I received the order a few days later, but earlier than expected in perfect condition. I have purchased other items from eTrailer in the past few years, and found their customer service to be outstanding. The fact that they took the time to see if there were other alternatives available, that I may not have been aware of, demonstrates a professional team. This is the reason I was willing to wait a bit longer to get the items. I knew what to expect from eTrailer.

Towed my travel trailer from PA to UT and back to PA last year. No issues during this trip. Also towed it on a few more weekend trips to parks on OH, WV, PA, and NY. The brackets worked as designed and have held up well. Sway control worked properly during windy periods out west. During annual inspection, brackets showed minimal wear after ~4500 miles of use. I recommend them as Ive had good luck with them.
The Equalizer Hitch brackets are a perfect fit for my cargo trailer. The addition of these parts saves me the time of removing these brackets from my flat bed trailer and transferring them to the cargo trailer. These extra brackets were put on a second trailer eliminating the time spent transferring brackets between trailers. Great 5 star product made in the USA. No hassle hook up and go saves time.
A big improvement convenience and safety-wise from those that came with my 2006 travel trailer. One of the old L brackets fell off on the roadway...very bad. It had only a single "set screw" holding it. The new one is much improved. Even the included L shaped pin is improved to keep it from dropping too low in the L bracket. Previously I drilled and added a second keeper pin above the L bracket to keep it from dropping at an angle and binding against the equalizer arms. And the price was reasonable.

I never had a single problem with the new brackets and pins. I have recently sold the trailer, but have no regrets with my purchase.
very happy with parts i rented a hitch like this one so i bought a used hitch the guy i bought the hitch from had sold his trailer and left these on trailer now i can make my hitch complete thank you very much

What a difference your "L" bracket and pin system has made! The RV store I bought my trailer from installed the incorrect "L" brackets that ended up pinching the load bars and preventing them from moving freely. They ended up bending the upright brackets. Your "L" brackets and pins are set so that the load bars can move back and forth as they are intended. Problem solved! Thanks
The product was a replacement for the older style brackets that were already on a camper.
The Equal-I-Zer weight distribution system is one of the best on the market. Easy to set up but make sure to follow the instruction carefully, especially when it comes to torquing the bolts. It's very easy to bend the side plates.

These are for my second trailer. I like the equalizer hitch on my large RV trailer, so I decided to use the same weight distributing hitch on my covered cargo trailer. They are solidly built (identical to the ones that came with the hitch) and like the original, are built very robust. Easy to install and adjust for different trailer weights so I can use the same weight distributing hitch on two different trailers.

These parts were ordered to update a used stabilizer that wasn't set up for a camper and have worked as intended. etrailer is the best place to get replacement parts and have great customer service to boot!
Works as designed. Fit my trailer tongue just like the old one it replaced. I do like the new retainer pin design that snaps over the side vs the old style that had the separate cotter pins which were easily misplaced.
Received the replacement sway control brackets for my equalizer weight distribution hitch. I was immediately impressed at the quality and fabrication of the replacement brackets. They are actually a bit beefier than the originals and a better design. One of the welded studs that mounts the sway bar bracket sheered off after 7 years of use. The new replacement brackets are deisgned with bolts instead of welded studs. If one should sheer off all you have to do is to replace the bolt.

By just opening the box and taking parts out I could tell it was of very good quality. All parts were there and installation directions. I will post pictures once it is installed.

It works great out old o es were getting worn out and put these new ones on, fit perfect and took a lot of the noise away!
