Question:
Looking at the equalizer Model:90-00-0400 sway control hitch. Have been researching on your web site. The trailer I pull is rated at just under 3000 lbs dry weight with a TW of just under 400 lbs. Pulling with a 2017 Nissan Frontier. We have a lot of sway from tractors passing us and wind need to fix. I have read that you dont want to go over your trailer weight with the hitch rating or sway control will suffer. Sooo would you recommend this hitch with my set up?

Expert Reply:
Equal-i-zer weight distribution system # EQ37040ET, which is the same as the product you referenced does not require a 2-5/16" hitch ball; I took a look at the Equal-i-zer site and could not find a reference to that. However, if you need a 2-5/16" ball then the right one would be the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ91-00-6100. It is also recommended you use Thin Walled Socket for Equal-i-zer Hitches # EQ70-00-4800 to make installation of this ball a little easier.
I've attached links to video reviews of these products for you to take a look at.
