Hi Rick; I can definitely help you choose a weight distribution hitch for your setup. To find the right WDH you need to know the tongue weight of your loaded setup. The best way to find it is to use a tongue weight scale like the # e99044. You can also use one of the methods outlined in the article below.
If you are unable to measure you can also take a guess based on the listed specs from the trailer. The most useful information is the unloaded (dry) tongue weight and trailer weight along with the GVWR. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the trailer weight so that can be used to take a good guess.
Once you have this information you will be able to choose a system. Ideally you want your tongue weight to fall into the middle of the range of the WDH. For a quality WDH that is widely considered the best I recommend the Equal-i-zer system. You can choose from the following based on your tongue weight:
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37040ET (tongue weight up to 400 lbs)
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37060ET (tongue weight range 200 - 600 lbs)
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET (600 lbs - 1,000 lbs)
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37120ET (800 lbs - 1,200 lbs)
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37140ET (1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs)
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ64FR (1,200 lbs - 1,600 lbs)
If you're looking for something more budget friendly Equal-i-zer also makes the Fastway system. You can choose from the following:
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-0600 (400 lbs - 600 lbs)
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-0800 (400 lbs - 800 lbs)
-Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-1000 (600 lbs - 1,000 lbs)
The Fastway doesn't come with a hitch ball so you will also need # A-90 for a 2" or # 19286 for a 2-5/16" hitch ball along with # ALL643216 for installation.
If you want additional help choosing a system feel free to leave your tongue weight information in the comments below and I can be more specific.

Hey Rick, how did things go with finding the right weight distribution hitch for your setup? Did the tongue weight scale help you narrow down which Equal-i-zer or Fastway system fit best? Your update could make it easier for others choosing a similar setup.
