I like the hitch however, the portion that goes into the receiver isn't long enough and doesn't allow room for the rock tamer mudflap setup to be used.

Hey Tyler, yes the RockTamers like # RT67VR need at least 1" between the edge of the receiver opening and the closest part of the shank. If you really want to use the RockTamers, you'd want something like the Curt Weight Distribution Shank - 14" Long - 7" or 7-1/2" Drop - 1,500 lbs TW # C17122 which has a little more clearance there and would work with the Rock Tamers.

Very happy with the product and purchase. I ordered it to help with drop for a weight distribution hitch. My particular hitch when combined with the new shank gave me 8" of drop which was perfect for my needs. Other weight distribution hitches may measure different and everyone should do their due diligence. The 13" overall length was perfect for me as my hitch required that much. No dragging the ground or other issues. A little more than what I wanted to spend but well worth it. The 1500 lb rating is a little more than I need which makes it perfect for not having to worry and be stressed when towing. So proud of my purchase. It has made me confident and relaxed while towing. Thank You to all of you who make the product available.

Very nice piece. Just what I needed. I needed to drop my ball 3" on my Pro series weight distribution system and sway bar system going from my 2015 2500HD Silverado to my 2016 Ram 2500HD. I have never been disappointed in any thing I have purchased from ETRAILER.

I needed a drop down shank for my 2019 Ford Ranger, which must also be compatible with my [hardware store]--Haul Master load leveling trailer hitch. etrailer spent quite a while helping me select the correct one. It arrived within a couple of days of placing the order. I installed it and it worked perfectly.

Last year I traded my Silverado for a Yukon to tow my 21’ camper. The hitch tube was integrated into the Yukon bumper and those 20” wheels raised the tube height 7”. I purchased your 13” drop shank to level my hitch/camper connection but experienced trailer “sway” because of that long shank. I fabricated a set of “sway bars” to tame that movement. Now I can tow my camper safely. Thank you for making this long drop shank available for taller tow vehicles!

Have used with my 5500 gwr travel trailer. Works good but extremely heavy once the weight distributing head is attached. This unit is affordably priced but I would have paid more to get the same adjustability in HS Al alloy. Had to get all new hitches because the hitch height on my new tow vehicle is way way higher than the old one. Even though I measured carefully, I still was off by one adjustment hole after initial coupling of trailer due mostly to how much the rear did not settle on the tow. So good reason to buy an adjustable hitch unless you are completely familiar with your tow vehicle characteristics when trailer weight sits on the hitch, unless you do not care if your trailer sits level during towing.

i switched from a 2014 Ram 1500 to a 2014 Ram 2500. the height difference did not work for my distribution set up on my travel trailer.
i needed about 6 inches of drop. this shank provided exactly what i needed and it worked well with the Blue Ox set up i had.

To find the correct rise or drop what you need to measure is the from the ground to the top of your hitch receiver opening, which it sounds like you have done and got 25-1/2". You also need to measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. You said the trailer is 18-1/2" off the ground so you just want to be sure this measurement is to the bottom of the coupler. Drop Shank Options for Husky Centerline Weight Distribution System
All of the weight distribution systems use the same shank mounting dimensions so other brands of weight distribution shanks can be used with your Husky Centerline TS. If you need just a few more inches of drop the Curt shank part # C17123 would work well. For a bit more of a drop the # C17124 would work well. The largest drop we have is the part # C17125 which probably would be too much for you setup.

Because the top of the receiver opening can have different size collars from hitch to hitch, we measure from the top of the inside opening to make sure it is consistent. The Curt shank part # C17124 can do up to a 9-1/2 inch drop when used with a round bar setup like your Fastway E2 round bar weight distributions system. The next largest drop we have would be the Curt shank part # C17125 which can do a drop of up to 16-1/4 inches which may be a bit too extreme.

Weight Distribution Shank that Has Most Drop
To determine how much drop/rise you need you need to measure from the top of the hitch opening on your Tahoe down to the ground and then while your trailer is level measure from the bottom lip of the coupler to the ground. The difference between these dimensions is the drop/rise you need. The shank we have with the most drop is the Curt # C17125 which can do a drop of up to 16-1/4 inches if the system is a round bar system or 15-3/4 inches if the system is a trunnion bar.

The Curt MV Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control - Round Bar - 10K GTW, 1K TW # C17062 is not available without the shank. For your raised truck, you can interchange companies for the shank head, however the companies may void your warranty. I recommend using the Curt Welded Weight Distribution Shank 7" - 10 Hole Adjustment # C17123, for your lifted truck. This will give you a maximum drop of 8-1/2 inches. If you need a bigger drop than that, you will need to use # C17124.

Thanks for the pictures! The only thing I would recommend changing on your set up is to add a shank with a deeper drop. I recommend the Curt Weight Distribution Shank 13" Long item # C17124 which has a 9" drop. This would move the bars below your trailer's frame. It would also allow you to mount the sway ball bracket correctly on your item # C17422 system. You have it mounted vertically instead of horizontally on your frame.

Husky has 2 different types of weight distribution shanks. One of them uses 3/4 inch diameter holes spaced 1-1/4 inches apart on center. If that is what you have then the Curt shank # C17124 will work. But if the shank you have has a smaller hole diameter to mount the head then it will not work.

I looked up the specs for your 2021 Keystone outback 335CG, and have found it has a GVWR of 10,500 lbs. Since the tongue weight of a travel trailer is typically 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight, your travel trailer will have a maximum tongue weight of 1500 lbs.
