Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Victron battery monitor. Now if you're considering this battery monitor, the main benefit is that it's going to give you a clear, real-time picture of your battery system so you're never gonna be guessing how much power you have left. This unit is going to work with battery systems ranging from 6.5 to 95 volts DC and it communicates through a VE direct connection, so it's gonna be compatible with other supported monitoring and power management equipment. This monitor tracks all of the key battery information in one place including voltage, current draw, power usage, amp hours, use, state of charge, and even an estimate of how much time remains before the battery needs recharging.
So this makes it especially useful for your RV boats, grid systems or any setup where battery management is going to be important. Now, beyond basic battery monitoring, this is can also keep an eye on a second input depending on your needs, that input can be used to monitor a second battery track battery temperature or perform midpoint monitoring. Midpoint monitoring is gonna be particularly valuable because it can detect battery imbalances issues early, helping you identify potential problems before they lead to reduced performance or battery damage. This monitor also includes programmable alarms and built-in relay function. That means that you're gonna be able to set it up to alert you or even trigger other equipment automatically.
When battery conditions reach levels that you've defined such as low state of charge. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward because the essential components are included. With this kit, this is what you're gonna be getting what you see here on my table. You're gonna be getting the shunt, you're gonna be getting the connection cable, the fuse power leads and the display, and it's all, and by the way, the display is designed for a flush mounting and it features this black face plate here. It's gonna give it a clean, modern appearance.
You're probably wondering about some measurements. Let me see if I can give you some rough ones here real quick. Looking at the front diameter of our display about two and a half inches, the depth is about one and a quarter inches. The diameter here on the back about two and a quarter inches. And then looking at the bezel about two and three quarters inches and that's gonna be square.
