Tongue weight problems usually show up after you are already on the road. This scale lets you check the number ahead of time, so you can load cargo, adjust your hitch, or rebalance before sway or handling issues start.
The backlit digital display is easy to read while lowering the coupler onto the scale, even in low light. It measures in 5 lb increments with accuracy within +/-0.5%, so the number you see is one you can rely on when dialing in tongue weight.
Not every trailer sits at the same height. This scale adjusts from 19-1/2" to 27" in 1-1/2" increments so the coupler settles naturally onto the scale instead of forcing the jack higher or lower than normal.
A scale is only useful if it stays put under weight. The wide base keeps the scale planted as the coupler comes down, helping prevent rocking or shifting that can affect the reading or make the setup feel unstable.
When the job is finished, the scale stores in its weather-tight hard plastic case. It keeps everything protected and easy to grab the next time you want to check tongue weight before a trip.

the scale worked great, with easy to read the numbers i dont have to guess at the tongue weight anymore, i double tow and its crucial to have the right amount of tongue weight for safe towing
Load cell should be longer
The receiver tends to extend past the cell and come to rest on the steel below the cell and not record the tongue weight.
Good tool when you have multiple trailers and different loads to check.
Works great, I was unpleasantly surprised at how low my tongue weight was. Had to make adjustments to reach 10% on the tour ge. I consider 10% to be the minimum I like to tow on the tongue. Everyone who tows a trailer should use a tongue scale.
This scale is GREAT, I finally got to use it while moving several trailers on our lot. I especially like the molded case to protect the scale while not in use. Since it can weight up to 4000 pounds, I am already thinking about how to check the pin weight on my 5th wheel.
