Question:
Good afternoon, I own a 34ft hitch to bumper camper. The GVWR is 9500lbs. I also will be hauling a golf cart in the bed of the truck. Which is a 2021 Silverado 2500hd. And I'm not sure what size 4 point equilizer I need to go with. Should I use the 1000, 1200, or 1400

Hello Glen; to find the right system we will need to know the tongue weight of your loaded setup. The best way to find this for the trailer is to use a tongue weight scale like the # BTBRV44FR or # BW34KR. Since tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight we can take a guess based on the GVWR.
At 9,500 lbs you're looking at 950-1,425 lbs. More than likely it would fall in the middle so figure around 1,200 lbs max. Assuming you're running it heavy like that you're already ruling out the 1,000 and 1,200 lb system. Then again, you may never be at the GVWR so it is still a good idea to measure with what you will typically carry to get a more exact weight.
You also need to account for the weight of anything behind the rear axle in your truck. I don't know the weight of your golf cart and this will also depend on how you load it since the weight will vary if you back it in or pull in forward. You're going to be adding in at least a few hundred lbs so I would say you either need the # EQ37140ET (1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs tongue weight range) or # EQ64FR (1,200 lbs - 1,600 lbs).

Hey Glen, were you able to check the tongue weight on your camper setup with one of the scales mentioned? Knowing that number would help confirm whether the 1,400‑lb or 1,600‑lb Equal‑i‑zer system fits best. Your update could make it easier for others towing with a similar truck and load.
