Question:
2019 Airstream 27foot International, supposed tongue weight of 790lbs, but more like 1000-1100lbs. Hitch height about 21. So, what is better Tongue Weight Scale? BandW BW34KR or BTBRV27FR

Hey Matthew, thanks for reaching out. For that setup, the B&W Digital Tongue Weight Scale # BW34KR is the best option. It can adjust to a height between 19-1/2" and 27" so perfect for a 21" coupler height. The Big Truck Big RV Tongue Weight Scale # BTBRV27FR might be a hair too short for that.
I also like the digital display on the B&W scale, and the fact that is goes by 5 lb increments. That will give you a much more accurate reading versus trying to eyeball the needle on a gauge. The 4,000 lb capacity will be more than enough for your setup. It also comes with a hard plastic carrying case which is great for keeping it protected when not in use.
Are you wanting to lock down the exact tongue weight number so you can pick out a weight distribution hitch?

This B&W Tongue Weight Scale is very solid, adjustable for different tounge heights and easy to use. I use it on all my trailers to safely tow them. Like all B&W products I have purchased, this scale is top notch.

I have purchased the B&W scale. I used it on my 28 ft. enclosed car hauler with a ProPride Hitch. Since the ProPride doesn’t have a standard ball hitch, I was able to rest the trailer frame on the scale. The adjustment of the height is pretty accommodating. You can always put thin pads of plywood under the scale base to get the exact height you want. I purchased this scale because of the quality B&W products have. The best in their class. The scale isn’t a wrench that when finished using you toss it in your tool box. It’s a precision tool that needs to be protected from abuse when stored and that’s why B&W issues a plastic case that’s tough and durable. Everything about how B&W deals with everything is why I purchased their digital scale.
