Question:

Can I mount an air tank under body on a 2012 GMC sierra 2500HD? I am looking at the air lift systems rear airbags, on board compressor and tank. Ideal would be mount it under the body on the frame.

When the # F2239 is installed, the air tank is typically installed under the vehicle, along one of the frame members. The compressor is best located under the hood, although you can mount it along the frame members if necessary.

If you want the compressor tied into the air bag system, along with having in-cab control, I would recommend using the Air Lift Air Helper Springs, part # AL57338 along with the Air Lift Quick Shot Compressor System, part # AL25690. The Air Lift springs are very similar to those offered by Firestone, but at a better price point.
