Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Surco ladder for the Sprinter van, specifically the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with the low roofs. Now this is for the back rear door or barn door, as you may call it, for that Sprinter van. And it's gonna make it easy to go up and down and load and secure gear on the platform rack or crossbar on the top of your van. Now, it will install into preexisting holes in the door, so there's no drilling whatsoever required. You also get this nice safety bracket that's gonna prevent the door from flexing while you climb.
There's one on the bottom there and this one here at the top would mount, and then that's where the ladder's gonna be hanging to give you that safety hold. You also get some hardware here and a couple pads with some adhesive on the back of them where you just peel off the adhesive tape. Now, it has a nice black powder coat finish. It is a stainless steel construction, so it is super lightweight, yet very durable. It is 15 inches wide, side to side whenever I was measuring it earlier.
And as far as the height, I got 70 inches from the very top of the hooks all the way down to the base when I had it flat on the floor. Now as far as a width, so on the bottom part where it's flat and it comes out to the back part, I got seven and a half inches out. And then right here where you can see that curve, it's curving out, when I did that one, so from the flat out to here, I got eight and a half inches out up here at the farthest-out point. So if that information is critical to you, that's the measurements that I got. I hope that's helpful for you.
And just the welds and everything on this are pretty strong and beefy. I like the design, I like how they did everything, the powder coat finish. If you've ever used anything from Surco, they're a really great brand. They make high-quality products. You're not gonna have to worry about this tearing apart or anything like that.
Well, folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together at the Surco ladder for the Sprinter vans. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
