Question:
I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. I installed the Timbren bump stops. I have a 26ft. Toyhauler. With the weight distribution bars in the bump stops are touching the leaf springs. The ride is very hard especially over bumps. What can I do to correct this? Thank you

Hello Robert,
I really wish there was something I could suggest to smooth out the ride while using the Timbren’s with your weight distribution hitch. Timbren’s tend to be on the stiff side, which is why I usually only recommend them for folks who are carrying a constant load.
For your setup, I’d recommend switching over to either SumoSprings or air bags.
The SumoSprings aren’t as firm as the Timbren’s, so they’ll give you a much more comfortable ride. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-207-47 are the correct ones for your 2011 Chevy 2500HD.
If you’d prefer to go with air bags, the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57338 would be a great option.
I’m sorry there isn’t a better way to fine tune your current setup. I know that’s not the answer you were hoping for.
How long have you had the Timbren’s installed?

I have only had them on for about 3 months, but have only towed 2 times. Thank you for your help. I have been leaning towards air bags
