How to Install the Air Lift Kit part # AL57338 in a Vehicle with Gooseneck/Fifth Wheel Hitch
Published 04/24/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2011 chevy 2500hd with 6ft bed. The truck has air lift brand airbags in the rear. I would like to put a gooseneck hitch in but the u bolts for the airbags conflict with the holes in the frame that the hide a hitch in my other truck bolts through. Just wondering if there is hitch that will work or not. Thanks,

Sounds like you have the Air Lift Kit part # AL57338 installed in your 2011 Chevy Silverado. If you check out the picture I attached you will see that when using this kit on a vehicle with fifth wheel/gooseneck rails you would not use the included U-bolts. Instead you would need to use the included 3/8 inch self tapping screws to secure the upper bracket of the air bag kit.
Once you install the kit like this you would no longer have any interference with the gooseneck install hardware and the Air Lift kit either.
