Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 5,000 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 4,565 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 4,033 lumens.

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at a 9005 LED headlight bulb with a single beam rated at 4,565 lumens of cool white color. Folks, these LED bulbs will let you upgrade from your factory halogen single beam headlight bulbs, they're designed for projection style high-beam headlights. They are automotive grade. They are brighter than your 35-watt HID systems, and five times brighter than halogen bulbs. They even have a nice cooling fan right here in the bottom built in.
The advanced cooling technology is gonna reduce the heat three times more effectively than your conventional heat sinks. The precision plastics, the optics thread, the thing used to light, ensure long range visibility and zero glare. The adjustable bulb color can be adjusted and rotated 360 degrees, that way if you want to change the direction of 'em to give you the most optimal beam pattern, they do include a little bitty change tool to do that as well. Simple plug and play installation, there's no cutting, splicing or taping required. Now they do require an anti-flicker harness that's sold separately if you have a Canbus or a PWM-equipped vehicle.
Now I'm gonna go ahead and show you these as quickly as I can. Keep in mind with that fan sittin' down, it's not gonna cool off properly like it should if it was inserted into a housing on a light assembly. So I'll go ahead and pop this on real quick, and then I'll show it with the lights on and off. So super, super bright. Let me zoom out here.
You can still see me. This guy, I dunno if you can hear, but the fan is runnin'. Very, very bright light. Let me step outta the way and see if you can see a reflection on the back wall, maybe. Super bright, the fan's goin', and we're gonna go ahead and shut that back off and turn the overhead lights back on.
So once again folks, it's a 9005 bulb type. The light output per bulb is a raw 5,000 lumens. The effective lumens are 4,565. The stable lumens after 30 minutes of usage will go down to 4,033 lumens, and the color temperature is 6,500 kelvin. It's gonna run 43 watts per bulb, and a power draw of 13 volts or three amps per bulb. Now the operating voltage can range between 9 to 16 volts of DC current. Good product, quality appears to be good. I’ve had the bulbs installed for three days now and I am pleased. I would buy these again. The only reason I did not rated this five star is I was hoping for something a little brighter.

This was a very helpful video and relevant to our motorhome. What a major difference!
So I bought these a year and a half ago. These are the sh*t! Nice and bright with a good beam pattern. Just make sure you have a idea to cable manage with both harness with this package. It was plug n play on my 2004 Tacoma Xrta cab. Bite the bullet on the price and get them. Also so people don’t flash you every 2 seconds angle your lights a little lower. Don’t be a weenier with stupid bright lights blinding old lady’s.
Lights are a day and night difference. Only complaint I would have and this was probably my own fault. The directions said to adjust bulb to be straight up and down with the Allen wrench supplied with the lights. I searched all over and could not find the wrench. I called etrailer and found out all I had to do was twist the bulb. Not a big deal just a little confusing for an old guy. All in all the lights are awesome and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again
