Updated 04/26/2026 | Published 04/18/2026

Question:

Im looking for a gooseneck adaptor for my 2006 rockwood signature ultra lite 8280ss. Would you be able to tell me which versions would fit that camper?

Welcome back Adam. I can indeed tell you what gooseneck adapter you'll need for your 5th wheel trailer but I'll need the information on the sticker that's attached to the bracket above your current pin box.

The white sticker should say date of manufacture, weight capacity, and have some form of RPO, LCI, or serial number on it. If you could email me directly a picture of it to the address you receive this response from or carefully put all that information where it says Add Comment, I can find the right gooseneck pin box for you.

@AdamG Thanks for the information Adam. Your 2006 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8280ss has a Venture CJ20515 pin box. I do not have a gooseneck pin box that will fit that bolt pattern or know of one that does. The only replacement pin box I have that will fit a Venture CJ20515 bolt pattern is the Trailair Air Ride item # UF35-946211. This is a Air ride pin box that has a king pin. As far as converting your pin box to a gooseneck adapter goes, my only option is to use the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter item # CAB-C5G. It'll bolt directly over your kingpin.
