Question:

Good day, I am looking at upgrading the transmission cooling on my 2022 Outback Limited 2.5. I would like to find out what cooler you would recommend please. It has a very small one in front of the condenser. I assume that it would be better to remove this one and fit a larger one in its place. Thanks

I would be happy to help you find a new transmission cooler for your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. I recommend the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class I -Extra Efficient item # D13611. You will want to remove the current one and install this one in place of it as you probably won't have enough room to install both. I have linked a picture of what this cooler looks like installed. The picture is on a full-size SUV so it looks small. The transmission cooler is 11" wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep. This plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously.
