Question:

I have a 2002 Acura Tl Base model was wondering if part D13611 would be the best fit and something to improve my transmission as these transmissions are known for failures.

Hey Jeffrey! The Derale Series 9000 Transmission Cooler # D13611 will work with your 2002 Acura TL as long as you have the 3.2L V6. However, if you're looking for the best cooling possible to help protect the transmission, I recommend installing the largest cooler you have room for.

The Derale Series 8000 # D13503 is a larger 11" wide x 8-3/4" tall plate-fin cooler and would be my choice if you have enough room to mount it. The additional cooling capacity will do a better job of keeping transmission temperatures down, which can help prolong the life of the transmission.

How much room do you have available in front of the radiator or A/C condenser?

Thank you yeah space is very limited in that area my TL is 3.2L V6 aswell. I may need to get exact measurements

@JeffreyO I would definitely do that before deciding. The # D13611 is 11" wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep so just as wide but shorter, so it may end up being the better fit.
