Lift and hoist your equipment safely with this winch rated for 2,500 lbs with a built-in handbrake. It's especially ideal for light lifting towers. Made of zinc, it's super corrosion resistant.
Note: Straps and cables are not included.
If you're lifting a heavy load, you want to keep yourself and your equipment safe. The built-in handbrake will lock the lever so the load stays in place.
The slotted screw holes on the winch give you lots of leeway for where and how you can mount it. It's easy to replace your old hand winch, even if it's from a different brand like Fulton or Dutton-Lainson.
This steel winch is zinc plated to prevent rust and corrosion. Salt-spray tested to 600 hours, it will have no problem handling water, whether that's on a boat trailer or out in the rain.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Curt hand crank winch with the handbrake that has a 2,500 pound load capacity. Now, basically if you're lifting a heavy load, you're gonna wanna keep yourself and your equipment safe. So this winch here uses a built-in hand brake that's gonna lock the lever so the load stays in place. Basically what happens is the winch will hold the load in place when the handles release. If you look right up front here, where these gears are, you'll see a little friction pad in there.
That friction pad is the brake. Now, it does require, the hand brake will require a minimum load of 50 pounds for it to operate correctly and basically to wind the cable in, you just rotate your handle clockwise, just like that, and to wind the cable out, just rotate your handle counterclockwise. Now, it does use greased bushings to let the gears move easily for a nice smooth operation. Now, if you notice the straps or the cables are not included on this, you would have to supply that. Wanted to show you the bottom of it.
The bottom you'll be able to see has the slotted screw holes on the winch. This gives you a lot of leeway for where and how you can mount it. So it's easy to replace your old hand winch, even if it's a different brand like Fulton or Dunlanson. Now this is a steel construction. It is zinc plated to prevent rust and corrosion.
It is salt spray tested to $600, so it's gonna have no problem handling any water, whether that's on your boat, trailer, or out in the rain. Few dimensions on this, the width at the base right here is seven inches. The length, which is gonna be from this end all the way to the end here, 11 and one eights inches long. Overall height, bottom to the top seven and one eights inches tall. The handle length center to center is 10 and five eights inches.
Now the hub right back here is gonna be three and three quarter inches wide. The diameter of the hub itself is three and a quarter inches, and the gear ratio on this is 15.8 to one. And what that's telling you is 15.8 revolutions of this handle is gonna give you one full revolution of the drum. And again, we mentioned the load capacity on this is 2,500 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Curt hand crank winch with the hand brake.
