Absolute plug and play for my 2015 silverado. Not on "trailer disconnected " message on the dash since. Should have installed long before I did.
I removed one star because the package arrived in a box with the product name and pictures fully displayed on the box outside, with no tape or seal. The box top had two tuck in flaps and no security. As for the product itself, it appears well designed and was very easy to install, once you figure out how to disconnect the OEM connector. The eTrailer video was very helpful in that regard. However, the video does not make it clear that the short bracket is an extra purchase and does not come with the connector. As a result, I have not yet completed the installation. The design concept is outstanding, nevertheless.
I was tired of having connection problems with the standard 7 prong trailer plugs, I did not like the fact that I could not count on my trailer brakes 100% of the time to help me stop or slow down in an emergency. After doing some research I found that people were having good luck with these EZ Connectors. I was working on my standard plugs all of the time. I know that rough dirt roads and driving over roads treated with magnesium chloride did not help with my connection issues, but I finally had enough and purchased what I believe is the best trailer connector made, The EZ Connector is completely sealed and the contacts are under constant pressure when in use, It also came with magnetic caps for both ends to keep the socket clean when I am not pulling. It is made in the USA so that makes me happy as well. I am very pleased with this product, and the service I received from etrailer was Top Notch.
Install of the cables and connections was very straight forward and easy. It does take laying down and working overhead which can be difficult for some. Took about 1 1/2 hours. WELL WORTH IT! This is the best electrical connection you can have! Water proof and stays in place. I also bought the four way adapter for my boat. Best add on you can get for any RV. Would buy again if needed but will outlast any RV.

Not one problem. It still works like new!
Works great on my 2019 Tiffin Allegro bus. Allowed to keep standard 7 pin con ector and add ez connector plug.

This is a great way to add the quick connect to your Ford! The connectors fit like they should and it was literally a matter of unplugging and plugging.
The hardest part was mounting. I chose to drill my bumper rather than use the included bracket.
I'd recommend this, and the quick connects are much more reliable, in my opinion, then the sometimes wonky 7-pin.
After having it over a year, I still love it. I have had a couple of issues with the pins but EZ connector fixed that. Would definitely recommend.

I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with this harness. I do see that this item may require additional components in order to operate. I see that this is also intended to be used with the part # 319-R7-07 trailer side plug. I have sent this information over to our customer service department for them to get in touch with you in hopes to get this corrected.
