The Optronics ONE Series Marine LED # STL0016RB you asked about is 8 x 2-7/8 by 2-13/16 inches. I've attached a diagram to assist.
The closest tail lights to your 3-3/8x5-7/8 measurements on your boat trailer are the STL57RB for the driver's side and STL56RB for the passenger side. These LED submersible lights are 6-1/16 x 3-5/8 so just slightly larger.
For incandescent lights, I recommend the Optronics 6-Function Tail Light - Submersible - Passenger Side # ST56RS and driver's side # ST57RS. These lights are 6-1/16" L x 3-3/4" W x 2-1/4" D.
