This hitch is rated for 3,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 525 lbs maximum tongue weight, making it a solid choice for light to moderate towing. It handles small trailers, campers, and boats easily, and it’s just as handy for carrying bike racks or cargo carriers. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with the most common accessories, so your existing gear will likely fit right in.
The steel construction is fully welded for strength and durability, while the matte black powder coat finish resists corrosion and hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy hitch. It has a rugged, carbide-like appearance that blends in nicely with most bumpers and trim. The finish adds protection against the elements so it stays looking good season after season.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the custom-fit design that bolts directly to the vehicle’s frame. There’s no welding needed, and all the mounting hardware and instructions come in the box. The precision robotic welding ensures proper alignment so the hitch lines up right where it should. It’s designed with DIY installation in mind using common tools you probably already have.
Only the 2" receiver tube is visible once installed, giving the hitch a tidy, built-in look under the bumper. The concealed cross tube keeps things looking clean while maintaining full Class III towing strength. It’s sturdy enough to take on daily hauling but subtle enough that it won’t stand out when not in use.

Holy cow!!! Glad to hear everyone is ok after that, James! Are they going to total your Subaru or repair it? Looks like the hitch and the muffler took the brunt of the damage.
