Does etrailer Hitch e98912 Fit 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited

Question:
Hi. just bought a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited gas, and looking for a hitch class III, 2. Need clarification on the e98912. That is my preference, and there is a video of it being installed on a 24 Crosstrek. However, I am getting a pop-up on your website saying that it does not fit my vehicle?

Hey David, this is a really good question. Basically we have installed the hitch part # e98912 on a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek like you saw in the install video but the fitguide team were instructed to remove it as a fit for the 24 models. If you like this hitch for your 24 model Crosstrek Limited it will work for you and would be a great option. Are you planning on doing any towing?

I installed this hitch on our 2023 Crosstrek Limited. Watch the installation video along with the installation instructions before starting the work. The installation was straightforward and I used an electric Sawzall to notch opening for bolts. I did use a jackstand to support the hitch on one side while starting the bolts. I'm 70 and the job took an hour and 15 minutes. Good luck with your car. I also purchased the new anti-rattle collar and it works great. We use the hitch for bike carrier

Hi David, I had this hitch installed on my 2024 Crosstrek Premium. A local hitch shop installed it for $80. It fit and looks great. I also just use for my bike rack.

Thanks for the reply, Jameson. The hitch would primarily be for bike rack. With the Crosstrek's max tow capacity limited to 1500 lbs, towing would consist of only pulling a small utility trailer on rare occasions. Does this "fit" my needs (and vehicle)?
