Question:
I need to find a ball mount that has ears attached so it will stick out from behind the rear bumper trim on my Tesla Model Y, it is very difficult to get chains and cables hooked up especially if the cables have snaps on them like on U-Haul trailers

Norm, what year is your Tesla Model Y? There aren't any ball mounts with those ears you're talking about, they're usually found on the hitch itself, like what's seen on the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98912.
We do also have the Fastway Chain-Up Safety Chain Holder for Standard Ball Mounts # FA82-00-3065 which installs on the ball mount and will work with 2" and 2 5/16" hitch balls.
If you can let me know what year your Model Y is I can take a look and see if I can't find a better hitch for you.

Bryce, Its a 2024 Tesla Model Y with factory hitch, the existing ears are behind the bumper trim along with the 7 pin socket for lights, I recently trailered a U-hail trailer and they use cables with snaps, it was a pain trying to clip and unclip the cables if I needed to unhook, it would be great if there was an extension with those ears
