This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives you a solid foundation for everyday towing and bike carrying. With a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, it’s built for light-duty towing and hitch-mounted accessories like racks or cargo carriers. I also have a 2015 RAV4 and thought we would get this and try the self-install. Thanks for mentioning the cover panel. Do you have any other tips or suggestions?

Because your RAV4 is fairly new like mine you should find it very easy to slide the muffler out of its hangers per the video. I would also recommend that you use a torque wrench on the 4 bolts. It might help to have someone help hold it up while starting the bolts, but it can be managed by yourself if no one is available.

Trailer hitch works great. Use it to ferry tandem bicycle weekly to starting point for long rides around town. Use it to occasionally pull 5x8 trailer with complete confidence, no issues ever.

Great! Its gone through a harsh Wisconsin winter - salt, grime, etc and after rinsing off it looks like new and functions perfectly.
