This is the second etrailer hitch I've bought, the first for my Prius and this one for my RAV4. Installation was breathtakingly simple and the instructions made it a flawless install. These folks are great.

2010 Toyota RAV4
The Curt C12108 hitch was shipped quickly and arrived on the scheduled day. etrailer packaged the hitch well and it arrived in good shape.
There was one very small 1/4" scratch in the paint which I touched up with black tinted epoxy. The only reason I mention this is because the scratch allowed me to observe Curt's powder coating. This coating is really thick, similar to baked on enamel. This looks like a much better (and hopefully rust resistant) finish than I've seen on other brand hitches. I've had to touch up rust on my 2010 Rav4 Hidden Hitch several times.
Installation of the Curt C12108 was easy, exactly as shown in erailer's video. I've read other reviews where the bolt holes didn't line up, but my hitch was a perfect fit. In the video, they say you won't be re-using the panel on the driver's side. In fact, it's easy to re-use it with a minor modification. I used a coping saw blade to cut off one corner so it would fit around the hitch. The panel is still held on at the 3 original points, with enough clearance so it isn't rubbing against the hitch and to allow for drainage.
Overall, I am very pleased with this hitch and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

2016 Toyota RAV4
I ordered the 1 1/4 inch (C12108) hitch to install on my 2016 Toyota RAV4. I chose the 1 1/4 inch because it will be used exclusively for a bike rack. My hitch was shipped the same day I ordered it! Installation was straightforward and the holes lined up perfectly. I could not be more satisfied with etrailer or the hitch and would happily do business with them again.

The hitch arrived early, and the tracking site worked perfect. Just installed it with a quick watch of the video of the year make and model of the vechicle, that was provided in the purchase email. All in all it took 15mins of work only because I didn't have an extra set of hands to help me. The fit was perfect. The video was spot on. If I ever need an after market hitch I will diffinatly use you guys again. Fantastic suppport and communication. Good job guys it's rare for a company this day in age.

Works great. A couple of years ago I ordered hitches from Another online retailer and they where all bent. I think etrailer repackages there’s because it showed up in perfect shape in an etrailer marked box. I recently bought another hitch from them without shopping around. Great experience.

2015 Toyota RAV4
Ordering and delivery were excellent. Hitch was well packed. Custom fit with a capital "C". Fit perfect. Instructional video was excellent. Only one small hiccup - the "tie down bracket" on my 2015 RAV4 Limited has a plastic cover panel. It was easy to remove, but it had to be modified to replaced after the hitch installation. I just use some old tin snips to cut away a small part of the plastic cover before reinstalling. Not a real issue. Just looking at the hitch, you can see how well made and solid it is. Would highly recommend.

Because your RAV4 is fairly new like mine you should find it very easy to slide the muffler out of its hangers per the video. I would also recommend that you use a torque wrench on the 4 bolts. It might help to have someone help hold it up while starting the bolts, but it can be managed by yourself if no one is available.

I Installed this hitch on my Toyota RAV 4 by myself in just 25 minutes. It bolted right up and fit great. The wiring harness took a little longer as I followed the directions to the letter. They both work great.

2011 Toyota RAV4
I'm sure it will meet my needs but, I believe there was a problem with quality control. It appeared that a final check on all measurements was not made because the bolts did not line up with the frames threaded holes which caused a somewhat frustrating mounting process. Still, it was not to difficult to pry the hitch into place and I eventually got it mounted and all is well.
No, I have no reason to believe the frame has had damage!

Hitch was super easy to install. Have only used it with the Swagman XC 2 bike rack.
The bike rack did not fit very snugly in the hitch. After bikes were put in the rack, that looseness allowed the bikes to sway back & forth rather alarmingly. We ended up getting a tie down strap to keep the bikes from swaying. I don't know if the problem (the looseness of the bike rack into the hitch) was because of the hitch or if it was the bike rack being just a shade small for the hitch.

I purchased a Drawtite hitch for my daughter's 2015 Toyota Rav4. The product was as described on etrailer website. It's a nice hitch, fits very well, very sturdy, and sits up nice and tight under the vehicle. Install was under one hour.

2018 Toyota RAV4
Hole slots on hitch did not match up with bolt holes on the frame of my 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure. Used the trick others have mentioned of spreading the hitch a half an inch with a 4x4 and a hydraulic jack and it worked out okay but still, someone needs to look into this problem that I and others are having.

2013 Toyota RAV4
I purchased this trailer hitch for a new 2013 Toyota Rav4. I also purchased the trailer wiring harness adapter and receiver hitch. Everything arrived in good condition. The installation of the wiring harness went better than I anticipated it would. The installation of the trailer hitch itself wound up being a problem. This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was for an 06 Honda Civic. That hitch bolted right up with no problems. The mounting brackets on this one were not positioned wide enough. Starting the bolts on one side and then trying to lift the other side up to start the bolts there and the holes didn't line up. It took a while to figure out how to "flex" the hitch enough to get all four mounting bolt holes lined up. We only need a little over 1/8 of an inch and we got it. Afterward, the install went as predicted. The hitch itself is well built and I'd probably buy from etrailer again in the future but I feel the quality control slipped a bit on this particular purchase.

Great product..Cathy was very helpful..arrived within 2days..great video for installing..everything went just as the video portrayed..only problem was the weather, it warmed up to 30 degrees and I went for it in my unheated garage. Thankfully all the bolts went in smoothly...would definately recommend these guys.

The hitch fits perfectly and went on without hassle. I got a ball mount locally and use the hitch frequently for my boat and a utility trailer. My only regret is that my car has limited towing capacity, but I knew that when I bought this hitch. I use my truck for bigger jobs.

I bought a hitch for my 2017 RAV4 to carry our bicycles with. This is the second hitch I have purchased from etrailer.com (I previously bought one for my 2012 Prius). After placing the order the hitch arrived in approximately three days.

2006 Toyota RAV4
Installed this on my 2006 RAV4. The bolt plates on the product were bent toward one another by about 3/8" so the bolt holes would not align with the vehicle weld-nuts initially--I had to remove it and use a 2x4 and a scissor jack to send the plates back outboard again. Installed easily after that adjustment.
Positively no need for a lift, or jack stands, or loosening the muffler in order to install this. I used two empty cloth-covered 1-gallon paint cans as helping hands, and installed it solo.
A 1/2" torque wrench with a 24" arm definitely came in handy for this install.
