Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello, everybody, this Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this etrailer 20 foot long Ratcheting Tie-Down Strap with the snap hooks, has a 3,333 pound working load limit. Now, this is a nice heavy-duty tie-down strap that'll let you secure the cargo in your truck bed or your trailer. This sturdy ratchet mechanism, let me just zoom in, so you have a better look at it, this will make it real easy to tighten down the strap. You can see just by cranking it, it'll maintain tension on the strap. And what's nice is if you look at the handle here, it's a nice, long, wide, hard rubber handle, gives you a nice, good grip even if you're wearing gloves, and it has a release lever right here with a rubber portion on it.
That release lever will disengage the ratchet when you're ready to unload and let the strap free wheel. So basically, you can pull up on this, extend it all the way this way, and then you can just pull how much you need out. So when you get it all pulled out and you're ready to hook up, then just reengage it into the ratchet, and then just go ahead and start cranking it to tighten it up. The other nice thing on this is when you get it fully tightened where you need it, they do have a safety lock position. Again, pull up on the ratchet lever just like that, extend it all the way that way, and then let it lock into position, and that'll lock it in the closed position.
So with this being strapped, this won't accidentally unhook and start ratcheting on its own. The way to unhook it is you have to pull out that release lever, and then put it back in the ratchet position. The snap hooks on each end, if you look at those, they are steel snap hooks, it'll anchor the strap to your tie-down points. And if you noticed, they have these spring-loaded clasp on them, which will prevent the hook from detaching from your tie-down once they're connected. The strap itself you can see is a nice two inch wide durable polyester webbing, it is abrasion resistant.
And if you noticed, the strap is a nice bright yellow color, which makes it very easy to see in day or nighttime. Now, this is for a quantity of one ratchet strap. Again, the dimension, strap is two inches wide, 20 feet in length. The maximum load or brake strength on this is 10,000 pounds, and the safe working load limit is what you wanna go by, that's a third of that, so that's 3,333 pounds. Now, one note I do wanna mention is tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to that safe working load limit.
Basically, the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. So just to give you an example, if you're using straps that have a working load limit of 500 pounds each and you're tying down a load that weighs 1,000 pounds, then you're gonna need at least two straps to safely secure that load, and they do usually like to recommend that you all use straps in pairs. But that should do it for the review on this etrailer 20 foot long Ratcheting Tie-Down Strap with the snap hooks and a 3,333 pound working load limit.
